Ban on Vinted: list (non-exhaustive) of scenarios already encountered

Hello!

As @Frenchysacha suggests in another post,

We can try to group the ban cases on Vinted.
Here are the cases I can think of that already have one or more posts on the forum

There are also cases of restrictions for X days (3, 5, 7 days depending on the reason)

Feel free to add information, this post will be updated regularly (UPD: 06.07/26)

Thanks for this list, you have more chance of getting banned for clothing than for selling food lol . I was wondering, does Vinted ban accounts that generate less money for the platform more easily and quickly?

Hello everyone!

I will continue to update this post regarding Vinted blocks, which seem to be increasingly frequent with increasingly vague or illogical reasons depending on the situation. So, feel free to share your experience!

I have just added the restriction reasons as well

Last week: 5-day restriction for « commercial sales » (I am a professional seller) because I had added « x100 » text to a photo to make it more impactful (lot of very small items, regularly sold and listing boosted many times without issues before the image modification).
What I learned: never add text to a photo again!

Thanks for the feedback! This pattern for pros is… always a puzzle

Hello,

my account was permanently blocked a month and a half ago

reason unclear as it was a generic message with all the usual accusations stating that I did not comply with the regulations (commercial sales / counterfeiting …) as I have seen for others

I specify that I only have one account, that I had nothing to reproach myself for

After sending several messages from the only available messaging system, emails to many addresses found on the internet, … I stumbled upon a post here talking about the Friptadium website and all the information provided

And as a last resort, I filed a report on SignalConso last week

And 2 days later my account was unblocked with a generic message saying it was a mistake

Chance, coincidence … I don’t believe it

I would therefore like to start by thanking Friptadium for its site and its very well-made information page

I also thank the people on this mutual aid forum (it was very useful for me) and those who say not to give up, thank you

So to those who currently have a blocked account and have done nothing wrong … and who have tried emails and requests via the messaging system … SignalConso takes 5 minutes …

And do not hesitate to come back to this forum to tell us how it went for you

I got banned twice for 3 days in one week for a stolen photo.

The first time I didn’t appeal, but the second time I sent a recourse stating they had to prove it wasn’t my photo.

An automatic response said I had to wait 120 hours for a reply (it’s been 3 days and I’m still waiting) and since I’m Belgian, I filed a complaint with the SPF Economy for inefficient customer service due to its slowness!

To be continued

If SignalConso has already responded negatively or if the FEVAD has also done so, would you advise re-submitting new forms? Knowing that they no longer respond to current topics…

Perhaps try again? With the new requests coming in… it might work differently this time

Not really, it concerns the part in their T&Cs about items in quantities (like different sizes), new items or bulk sales of low-priced items (implying they come from China).

Basically, they want pros… but not too pro. The problem is that since these rules are vague (no real scope of application explicitly defined), they can ban anyone at any time.

Also, as a funny example, my sister-in-law just got banned directly for selling plants, having put a decorative item with flowers on the illustration. So @Faune, if you have any books on botany, hide them :face_savoring_food:

Thanks for the addition

This bodes well for all floral clothing

No ideas… I’m going to try to restart SignalConso, FEVAD I don’t know, I’m afraid they’ll block me if I need them in the future, you never know.

Did you receive a response?

Yes, so I complained on June 5th and received this on 19/06

Hello viedemode

One of your listings has been removed and your account has been blocked. We understand your frustration and will explain what happened.

On Vinted, we must comply with copyright law and moderate listings to prevent any infringement of these rights. Sellers must use their own photos of the items they are selling. This allows buyers to see that the seller actually owns the item and that the photos reflect its condition.

The photos of your listing appear on another website. These photos do not prove that you own the item, which may pose a risk of copyright infringement. If you wish to relist the item, please take new photos yourself.

Due to the repeated nature of this violation, we have blocked your account for 3 days.

During this period, you cannot delete, publish, or edit listings. However, you can use Vinted to make purchases, access your messages by logging in from our website, and transfer money from your Vinted wallet to your bank account.

If listings that violate our Catalogue Rules are repeatedly posted, we may remove those listings and block your account.

Please note that we cannot refund the cost of a Boost if a boosted listing has been removed due to a violation of our Catalogue Rules.

We moderate listings regularly. You may see items that are not allowed in the catalog. We will remove them as soon as we are aware of them. You can also report prohibited listings by clicking the flag icon on the website or by tapping the three dots in the app and selecting « Report ».

If you are not satisfied with these explanations, you may consider other ways to resolve this dispute, as explained in our Terms and Conditions: https://www.vinted.fr/terms-et-conditions.

Thank you for your understanding.

Obviously impossible to have a right of reply on the site!

A message was split into a new topic: Account blocked after relisting an item

I got the same answer, that’s funny.
