Vinted ban

Hello,
Have you been banned, or permanently blocked, by Vinted? Share your experiences.

I get the impression that blocks are commonplace, for both sellers and buyers. At least if I’m to believe Reddit threads (in English) or YT videos.

As I’ve sometimes read, « you’re not a real Vinted user until you’ve been blocked for an incomprehensible reason. »

Hello!

Indeed, I have already been blocked by Vinted, for no reason overnight. I think I had been reported by several affiliated people in a short period of time…
After discussing it with support, the sanction was lifted quite quickly. (The next day, if I remember correctly) But that was a few years ago now! :old_woman:t2::joy:

We have a sword hanging over our heads. Since I’ve been searching, listening, and reading everywhere, it often comes from denunciations, from small groups who « go after a seller. »
Especially if, a priori, you don’t sell new items, luxury items, or items with confusing « covers. »*

On eBay, we had the tomato series, which could seriously block us and/or lower the relevance of our listings.
Now it’s easier!
Especially since many are in the same sector, or even the same brands. If you become too popular, too visible on social media, or if you succeed, you will disturb them.
And since there are communities on all networks.
Maybe those who have multiple accounts, but I haven’t seen anything to that effect, since it’s allowed by Vinted (pro account + private account).

#nosurprises!

Hello. My professional shop was banned 6 months ago for no reason.
If I think the more sales we make, the more likely we are to be banned.
I had 3000 reviews, all positive, so to speak.
Never any response back. Nothing…
Really disappointed.

A recent example, this weekend a batch of my ads were deleted for copyright infringement on the photos, but they are indeed my photos. I downloaded my data to check and surprise, surprise, it was due to a wave of reports:

I sent this to Vinted and they informed me that they were lifting the restrictions on my account, which I wasn’t even aware of. At the same time, it explains the catastrophic end of May.

I advise you to contact them anyway as soon as there is a problem of this kind because it allows them to reset everything, otherwise when incidents multiply they ban the account without thinking.

How did you do it? Opened another account?

Where can we download this data?

Hello!

You need to go to Your profile → Settings → Privacy settings and « Download my Vinted data ».

There is a dedicated folder for reports made by third parties.

@Gametoysretro Very interesting to know that by sending a message about this issue, they take action!

by going through legal@vinted though

Hello, I had an identical problem, sales were deleted from me, saying they were not compliant with Vinted’s policy and blah blah blah, except that I saw many similar listings still online.
How do you know it’s someone reporting you? And do you know who it is? Thank you for your feedback
Have a nice day

Hello!

You can find out via the tip I indicated above: by downloading your data

But it’s anonymous though.

I tried. I never received the confirmation email to start the process…

The procedure worked.
Sometimes the email goes to spam?

Nope, I’ve checked thoroughly. It’s not a big deal either.

Every time I have a problem with Vinted, I get reports with it. You can see this by downloading the data, as explained by Lucile above, but the author is not mentioned. It’s still very annoying.

Especially since every time I get restrictions, it takes a while for the system to restart.

Hello
I followed your advice, and Lucile’s explanation to get the data and… oh surprise
Repeated reports for mass selling and multiple accounts (which I don’t have, by the way, Vinted apologized). Just before Vinted asked me to go pro (which suits me well, it’s a sign that it’s working for me).
Apparently, there are some people who don’t sell enough and are bored reporting others. :woman_shrugging:

Shoddy but unfortunately common practice. More than boredom, it’s often malice from other sellers who would like to be alone.

But yes, the kind of person who has nothing better to do:

because honestly, reporting for low-quality photos, you really have to have nothing else to do. And counterfeiting, given how I source my products, I don’t see how it’s possible.

I’d still like an explanation for this one

and the pearl of pearls :folded_hands:

::joy::I love the « real fur. » You sell video games, right?

I had a mother of modesty who went on my account and apparently my photos are of poor quality so Vinted needs to be warned because it’s serious.

It’s still useful to check regularly to correct things as you did. :+1:

JV yes but mostly figurines and then things like movies on Laserdiscs, VHS, a few books. So yeah, the fur had to be found since there isn’t a single piece of clothing.

Well, if we’re going to report without real reason… might as well use our imagination
The worst part in the end… is especially if Vinted takes it into account

Is there still a market for VHS? Really?
