Block for illicit activities

Hello

I have my account blocked for illicit activities. Which means nothing on Vinted because they don’t give explanations. Have you already had this happen, and have you managed to get your account back through discussions or by providing proof?

Hello!
Indeed, this is a pattern we rarely see.
Article 7 of Vinted discusses this:

Statement of reasons. If we take any of the corrective measures set out above or block your Account, we will inform you:

  • of the reasons for doing so;
  • of the restriction we will apply to your Content or Account;
  • of the facts and legal grounds on which we based our decision;
  • of information regarding the use of automated means to make our decision;
  • of information about the remedies available to you (described in more detail in the section below « Your remedies »).

However, we will not provide you with this information if it would breach the law or the guidelines of a legal authority, disrupt a fraud investigation or allow fraud to continue, or if it would be considered a serious breach of these Terms and Conditions or the Vinted Wallet Provider’s Terms and Conditions.

Corrective measures or blocking without notice. We may take corrective measures or block your Account without reasonably informing you in advance if any of the following scenarios occur. We will provide you with a statement of reasons only when we take action in cases of:

  • Suspicions identified by a Vinted Wallet Provider or Payment Processor: A Vinted Wallet Provider or Payment Processor informs us of a suspicion that you have breached the law, their Terms and Conditions, or misused the Site when using their payment and/or wallet services (including illegal sales on the Site, money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, identity theft, or the use of false documents).
  • Transaction-related issues: You initiate a dispute resolution procedure concerning a Transaction made through a Payment Processor, and there are objective and legitimate grounds to believe that, in this context, you have breached the law, these Terms and Conditions, or misused the Site.
  • Legal and Security concerns: Your Content or use of the Services breaches the law, regulations, or public safety rules, or is likely to have serious consequences for the health, safety, or legitimate economic interests of Vinted, other Users, Pro Sellers, or third parties. This may include, but is not limited to, the following cases:
    • uploading Content that glorifies crimes against humanity, incites racial hatred or violence, relates to child pornography or any other form of sexual harassment, or seriously threatens other Users;
    • committing identity theft or any other type of fraud;

Actually, no! A dispute over a transaction, but as usual when I have a problem… I got a warning message 1 hour earlier telling me I seemed to be using a bot… I really don’t understand :cry:

If you are using Clemz, send us a message and we may be able to guide you on this topic, bonjour@clemz.app :incoming_envelope:

I don’t use clemz, but I know that your forum is very useful for Vinted issues, which is why I took the liberty of sending my question.

Could you send us screenshots of the 2 Vinted messages?
Since the messages are « standardized », this will allow us to know exactly what they are accusing you of.
:slight_smile:

Unfortunately, I no longer have access to it, my Vinted inbox is empty… I can’t even communicate with people anymore. I hope it comes back in a few days.

Hello, a quick update following my blockage

I wrote to them several times telling them that my account had a bug (like an idiot and innocently), and at some point, someone more lucid than the others wanted to listen to me and finally unblocked me for the reason « sorry, we made a mistake »… Anyway. The main thing is that I got everything back. Thank you for your help :wink:

Thanks for keeping us updated! :hugs: Good news :fire:

Hello

I am having the same problem as you following a dispute, they have blocked my entire account :sob::sob: where did you write? Email, message? I am eagerly awaiting your reply

Hello

Please contact vinted@vinted.fr

However, I don’t want to disappoint you, but it will be difficult to come back for illicit activities :frowning:

What do they accuse you of?

Thank you for your feedback.

I received a package yesterday that a buyer didn’t pick up. It came back folded in half, and the item was damaged. I reported it, and now I’m blocked! It’s incomprehensible, I assure you.

What did you state in your email so that he would be apprehended?

You have to try several emails with different subjects.

But often when you are blocked for illicit activities, you cannot reply to the response emails they send you :frowning:

In August 2025 I managed to be unblocked because I sent an email and they unblocked me without me giving them an answer, they did it by default. But if they ask you to give an answer or explanations, it seems to me that your email will come back as « something went wrong » and that the email you replied to does not support replies. Basically they block everything

And on the message about illicit activities on Vinted, can you appeal?

Yes, I did but no response so far…

I’m so desperate that I’m trying everywhere!

I just sent an email to vinted@vinted.fr and received their acknowledgment of receipt. I’m waiting for their response, but the wait is endless. If only a human could talk to me :folded_hands:

You’ll get a response from a human, but I can’t guarantee it’ll be sorted. They’re being particularly annoying at the moment. I’ve lost all my accounts and given up.

And file an appeal about the blocking message on the Vinted messaging service.

It’s too many problems and worries for nothing.

Haven’t recovered your account?

The problem is that when you have nothing to reproach yourself for, it’s difficult to do nothing :sob:

Thank you for your advice, I’m taking note of everything :wink:

I recovered it at the time but lost everything again in January 2026.

There were blocks without real explanations, so I got fed up and gave up.

Permanently blocked for 9 days for an allegedly counterfeit pro account, I have sent several emails and requests via the app but to this day no response. Replies are in English even when it’s not selected, saying they will get back to me…

I’m like you, I have nothing to reproach myself for, I’ve never had a temporary suspension or warning email for anything, but this time it happened to me! Apparently, it’s taking a very long time to get a response right now, and judging by the messages on this site, many remain permanently blocked or have a Damocles sword hanging over them afterward!

The sword of Damocles is indeed hanging over everyone’s heads. A complaint from a furious person who didn’t have their offer accepted, and boom, they jump on it… try the appeals process, they are obliged to respond and generally they do, even if you never agree with the answer.

On a personal account I recreated, I posted an ad for sneakers resembling lace Converses, which they weren’t, but at no point in the ad did I mention the brand or anything else. When the ad was validated, my app crashed as if it were a bug, and when I reopened it, I was blocked for suspected counterfeiting. I requested an appeal, I had to wait 10 days for them to respond and they asked me for photos from all angles, next to another object, etc., etc., basically, something mind-blowing. And they unblocked me because the robot had made a mistake when scanning the photo.

You can never know, that’s why you have to persevere and at some point stop asking them for anything and a month later, send an email saying my account is bugging, I don’t understand, and maybe some goofy guy will do a good deed. Unfortunately, there are no more rules, it’s a bit of a matter of luck. For a year and a half I wasn’t bothered, and in 1 month they blocked my two professional accounts and 2 personal accounts with increasingly far-fetched reasons each time.

They’re shooting themselves in the foot because we (big) sellers are the ones who bring them their numbers, so the day they block everyone they’ll have no choice but to adapt. Big Vinted sellers who hadn’t been bothered for years have been banned, they must have lost a huge loss of earnings. They’ll regret it and change their ways.

For now, I’m letting it go and waiting for my account to be deleted to hopefully recover my SIRET number to reuse it.

Good luck to you
