Only one report, account immediately blocked
[/quote]
I have the same reflex. If the exchange gets tense for any reason, I block immediately. Since once blocked, the Vintee can no longer see your wardrobe, this limits reports: they cannot select an ad.
it’s hard to hold back sometimes. but you shouldn’t say anything, really. Or say ‹ I understand, › a sweet message. Depending on what we’re selling, we have a more or less annoying population. We can encounter liars, people who are unhappy with themselves, who seek conflict because it feeds them, etc. If we react, if we play the game = game over.
On eBay, it was the feedback blackmail, and since negative feedback had a huge impact, we had to compromise.
Here, it’s more insidious; negative feedback isn’t visible, but a « quiet » report has an even stronger impact.
For me, that’s not the right method either. You also have to be careful because there could be multiple accounts, or family accounts, or social media accounts, etc. => same result, or even amplified if there are multiple accounts = multiple reports.
Really sucks because it’s the beginning of the month, and things had been going well since May 1st. And now, as usual, I’ve deleted everything and will have to restart later (thank goodness for Clemz)
« Wholesale commercial sales », the easy thing as soon as you have several new items in the same category…
Most likely the algorithm looks at the % of such items in the wardrobe. I have a few books still in cellophane that I classify as « new with tags », but they do not represent more than a few percent of the wardrobe. Never had an alert so far.
I’m taking advantage of this topic to gather opinions for once as a buyer and not a seller: we agree that two weeks to send a package is becoming too long, right?
I made the huge mistake of buying an item from a seller with an average of 3 stars, I understand why now. Upon purchase, I received « thank you for your purchase, I’ll send it quickly » – the usual stuff. Three days later, nothing had been shipped, so I sent a quick message to find out the status. The girl told me « it’s going out tomorrow, » but the next day, still nothing.
Finally, as the shipping deadline approached, she asked for an extension, explaining that the package was ready, but she had to take the train to drop it off and missed it (even though it’s a standard Mondial Relay delivery). She assured me that « tomorrow should be fine normally. »
Spoiler alert: the extension week expires, still nothing shipped, and today I receive a message saying that the item is actually at her mother’s and she has to go pick it up to send it to me (so the package wasn’t ready at all at the time)
In short, a huge feeling of having been taken for a fool and of course, since I’m too nice, I’m unable to cancel the purchase or even argue with the saleswoman
Another hypothesis is that your seller does not own the item and is trying to buy it somewhere cheaper than she sold it to you for. So she’s making you wait while she tries to find it and receive it.
