They are shooting themselves in the foot by going after most sellers who optimize their business deals; they will simply lose a very significant portion of their revenue.
For competing platforms, it depends, it’s on a case-by-case basis. Vinted has the advantage of having a part of Europe within reach for buying and reselling.
Personally, I buy on lbc, most of the time, furniture or other bits and bobs. Lbc = simple and effective, especially for going on-site to see a product.
Thank you for your feedback! I’m really curious about what’s behind all these Vinted’s aggressive restrictions! They switched on this stupid bot back in January. From January to May, they’d enable it for a week or two and then turn it off again. But for the last two months, it’s been running non-stop!
We would need to know the extent of these blockages to know if it could really impact their image.
I admit that’s a mystery. Yet there’s nothing you can do on Vinted that isn’t possible on LBC. Shipping costs are now lower. The platform is well-known and a huge number of people go there for real estate or cars.
No. Opla, I get the impression, is only known to sellers banned from Vinted. Beebs has been around for a while now, they advertise, they are listed on Google, they run tons of promotions, and yet it’s not taking off (or even declining), so I don’t really see what could reverse the trend. And customer service is barely better than Vinted. You eventually get a human but it’s very slow. No blocking issues, however.
Certainly not on their image… on the contrary… if they ensure there are no excesses, they will gain trust.
For the moment, we observe that it is apparently only personal accounts that use the platform excessively. (mostly daily publications and republications)
Personal accounts with little activity and professional accounts are not affected, apparently.
Opla or Beebs won’t last long, as you say, it’s mostly Vinted « bans » that are on there… but the Buyers??? where are they?
Apparently, if you want to keep a Pro account without getting blocked, you need to have very few brand-new items. And even if you do have new items, it’s better to list them as ‹ Very Good › condition.
The problem with new items is that it’s very random; I know sellers who have been blocked with 10 new listings, and others have hundreds without any issues (even within their quota, they have more than 50% of their wardrobe filled with new items).
Ah! I thought we were at 8/10%? Are these just suggestions?
There is indeed a contradiction: accepting professionals, but not allowing them to sell new items.
Yes, I know it’s Vinted
There are absolutely no official figures, so anyone who states a specific number is just guessing. Sometimes it’s based on their own experience, but since that isn’t uniform on Vinted, it’s impossible to derive a rule from it (which some people sometimes have trouble understanding).
And then there’s the criterion of reports to consider; as long as you fly under the radar, things might go well. Perhaps also, some categories are less monitored (or, depending on the clientele, less prone to people reporting en masse reporting things).
That’s not correct. I have a small account (I had just started) with only 30 ratings and I would upload three or four ads a day, and I am suffering from this harassment of 24-hour restrictions every day.
I upload 1 ad and seconds later I receive the message about the 24-hour restriction.
I don’t think it corresponds to a specific pattern. I’ve read in other forums that even Pro users are also being blocked.
wow, bravo! May I ask how many items you have in your dressing to repost 100 articles/day please? Just to see if my proportion is correct. I have 730 items and 30 reposts/day
