I’ve been selling my clothes on Vinted for a very long time and I’m facing a new issue:
I can no longer transfer my earnings to my account, nor pay for purchases with my wallet. I contacted Vinted support who told me that it’s their « Payment Service Provider, » MangoPay, that blocked this in their internal anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing process…
I did complete the identity verification requested a few weeks ago (and it was validated) and I haven’t changed my bank account details. I’m not a big seller (not a huge number of sales or expensive items), I only sell allowed items… They asked me to send proof of address less than 3 months old, which I did, and I haven’t heard back since.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem? If so, were you able to resolve the issue with Vinted and how?
I don’t know if I can continue selling since I can’t access my earnings… I’m really very upset, and the message exchange with Vinted is very long and tedious…
Hello. I’m in the same situation as you for 2 weeks now. After sending the proof of address, I received a first waiting message on February 13th and a second waiting message yesterday, February 18th. I had difficulty getting my identity validated. I tried lowercase, uppercase, then I redid the photos of my card several times. It worked on the 13th try. And when I finally wanted to transfer, I had a transfer failure each time. I wonder if this is not due to the fact that my account was validated with my last name and that my IBAN is a joint account in the name of Mr. and Mrs. First Name and Last Name of my husband? I have a lot of patience. On the other hand, my worry is increasing. Will I be able to transfer my wallet? Maybe they are making technical modifications and updates right now? And that there are bugs. I will keep you informed if I receive any new messages soon. What about your side? Best regards, Chris
In my case, the situation was finally resolved yesterday! In the meantime, I sent another proof of address, an internet bill with my full names and surnames (I had registered with my first name and my usual surname, when I redid the identity verification it had added my secondary first and last name… I am Portuguese) asking if the problem wasn’t due to the fact that my bank account details didn’t show the famous secondary first name, hence MangoPay’s doubt about my identity…
It’s complicated, but I’ve had the same issue with SMEREP when I was a student! I can’t confirm that this is what solved the problem, but in any case, Vinted notified me that I could transfer money from my wallet and buy again, and it works.
I would therefore advise you to try to send a proof of address with your full names and surnames if you have one, or perhaps one showing your name and your husband’s name? Because 2 weeks is really starting to be a long time indeed…
Hello. Thank you very much for your message. Like you, it’s complicated with the last name, the name of use, several first names, and the husband’s name. I had sent documents by selecting the most suitable ones for this complexity. And this morning, good news, I received validation from Mangopay, phew. At the same time, I understand that they check thoroughly. I joined Facebook groups dedicated to Vinted and I am horrified by the testimonies of incivility and scams of all kinds. I’m crossing my fingers because this is my first transfer. I only registered at the end of 2024. I hope I didn’t make a mistake because I have poor eyesight. I’m waiting for the transfer to be okay before adding a few little things on Vinted. Thanks again, I wish you great sales and a good day. Sincerely, Chris
Hello, I’m also having trouble… In fact, when I click on the link for identity verification, I go directly to the rejection message even though I haven’t added any documents yet. At the bottom of this message, there is the « contact us » box, I went through there. So I have automatic messages from Vinted. Is this the correct way to submit the requested documents? I’m trying to communicate with advisors but always get the same answer and it’s not easy to get a response… thank you for your help
Hello, I have the same problem as you. For me, it’s in my mother’s name, who at the time of account creation and identity verification was Marie, so she used her married name. She is now divorced, and therefore the documents, which are less than 3 months old, are in her maiden name. The RIB is in my name (her son). What should I do and what documents should I send? It’s already been a week and I don’t know what else to do. Thank you very much.
Hello, in this case, I think the simplest thing would be to re-enter your mother’s bank details (Normally, the birth name is on the identity card, so there shouldn’t be a problem between identity verification and the bank details, I think) to recover the amount from the wallet and create an account in your name for the future!
Thank you for your response, but until now I have transferred the money to my bank account. Don’t you think that if I make a change of bank account details during the procedure, it won’t work and they won’t accept it? Did you proceed like that? Thank you!
If there is a procedure in progress, wait for Vinted to get back to you On my end, I think it was just an issue with incomplete first/last names on my bank details versus my ID card.
Thank you for your response, they just unblocked me and I can buy again, but I can’t transfer the money. Was there a waiting period for you too? Thank you
I’ve had the same problem for over 2 weeks now, I can buy things but all bank transfers are blocked. Everything is in order on my end, I’ve completed the necessary identity verification.
I have of course contacted customer service but have received no response from them, only generic messages telling me they will get back to me as soon as possible.
For those who have had the same problem and managed to resolve it, do you have any leads/advice?
Hello,
Can you help me too!! I have a ready-to-wear boutique and I sell my latest collections on VINTED!! I can’t withdraw the money I have in my account because it requires a verification that I’ve done and that I can’t complete because they don’t accept it even though I’ve provided everything, whether it’s my kbis or anything else, to prove that I am indeed a company!!! I really don’t know what to do anymore!! I even sent a message on Instagram but no response so far!!!
Hi! Unfortunately, Vinted has been stringing me along for 6 months. I don’t really understand what to do, and I didn’t really understand how you managed to get unblocked.
