Banned again 3 days after 2 days of unban, so 2 bans in one week

Having a large wardrobe of over 700 items in the same category (items of the same brand that look alike but are always different), I was banned because of a republishing on March 13th with a ban until March 16th.

I sent emails to all possible addresses. I received replies saying they would take a manual look starting March 14th, but no feedback until the unban. And today, March 18th, my account is once again banned for the same reason (duplicate) even though this time it was a publication of a new item, so not even a republishing.

It’s becoming burdensome and stressful to use Vinted. The last 2 days (from the 16th to today) after the ban were catastrophic in terms of sales (-70%) compared to usual daily sales, but if on top of that we get ban after ban, it’s no longer possible. Do you have any ways to get unbanned quickly (knowing that I am in compliance)?

Exactly like me.

even buyers are fed up. I’m getting messages from Vinties telling me do you have Leboncoin because shipping costs are €0.99 and PayPal payment has just arrived on LBC. I’ve gotten back on Depop which was bought by eBay. I see there are many more French sellers than before. If Vinted doesn’t pick itself up quickly, in 2 years it’s over for them (prediction from Madame Irma )

False. On LBC, shipping costs are €0.99 from time to time and not for all categories. Do not believe everything you hear.

I’m on Leboncoin so I don’t believe everything you hear. I cited an example message I received on Vinted. The operation takes place at least once a month on Leboncoin versus never on Vinted. It’s very commercially attractive. As for PayPal, it has just arrived on Leboncoin with a 4x payment option. It’s on eBay and Depop. Whereas Vinted removed it. Depop is going to make a big impact in Europe now. When you are a professional, you have to monitor the market.

Hello,

Is Depop available in Belgium? And is it in French? I don’t know it, but how I wish there was an alternative to Vinted that is bothering me more and more!!!

Depop is worldwide. It was just bought by eBay. Strategic response to Vinted, which came to hunt on US territory. Le Bon Coin, I see more and more clothing listings from sellers who are on Vinted. Le Bon Coin has partnered with PayPal and 4x payment, plus LBC now offers buyer guarantee and protection. Really, if Vinted doesn’t wake up, it’s going to get crushed.

I agree with you.

There are tried-and-tested business strategies: what does a company do with what it earns?

Vinted is making the same mistake as eBay did in its time: Take care of the shareholders, increase profits, invest or optimize to earn more within its own company.

0 for those who make them live: the sellers and the buyers. No listening, no service improvement, even a degradation. What are the real improvements on Vinted in the last 3 years? There are none.

What does Vinted do with what it earns? 3 points:

1- They buy out any competitor that could be troublesome with one of their subsidiaries.
2- They implement their own payment system (I advise you to see the consequences on eBay of the separation from PayPal).
3- They develop their own delivery system (Everyone will form their own opinion on Vinted Go).

Simply put: they couldn’t care less about those who make them live. They had done the hardest part. At this rate, I don’t give much for their future in 5 years. For me, they passed their peak some time ago.

There is a place to take: a marketplace between Vinted and eBay.

I believe many sellers hope for it.

We have created a post with our understanding of the issue: Campagne "anti-doublon" de Vinted - état des lieux (19.03.2026)

I just went to check out beebs where I currently don’t sell anything. I think I’ll update my account in case Vinted lets me down, and I’m also thinking about signing up for Depop.

Thanks for the info.

In any case, their success is fading, they are no longer in their « prime Â» Vinted doesn’t respect sellers enough and therefore if there are no sellers, no buyers… even casual buyers notice the problems and no longer buy.

Depop is coming, and within a few years there will definitely be a direct competitor platform to Vinted that will be more equitable with its sellers and its various problems (blocked accounts for example)

We are waiting patiently

Good evening - I would say rather that there are too many sellers compared to buyers and it is not about to change. My experience as a buyer is that I waste too much time when I look for something compared to the plethora of items presented to me that only vaguely match what I am looking for, and also too many sellers who do not know how to sell, who think that throwing a bad and unique photo with a vague description will lead to a sale. These people are cluttering the platform, that’s all.

there can be a single seller, one must not confuse the number of sellers with the number of items.

in what you said, you are right that the results of a search do not match what we are looking for, this is intentional and documented, but it has its limits.

Another thing, yes, sellers don’t know how to sell because they are not sellers, just individuals who have little time.

there is no easy balance: between individuals only, just professionals selling, a mix of the two. each model has its advantages and limitations. they can coexist if there is a distinct policy for professionals: promotion, paid subscription, after-sales service, tools..

they take the money that is there to be taken; the long term…

Hello Anon. Thank you for all the information you’ve provided. I’m also fed up with Vincered!! As I have a lot of Y2K, 80s, and 90s clothing, would it be possible for you to explain to me how Depop works? Thank you.
