Vinted: its communication system is a scandal

It is absolutely impossible to contact Vinted if your problem does not correspond to any of the cases mentioned in the help center, especially when their site makes errors that you can no longer correct.

Example: the drop-off points offered for sending the package do not correspond to the correct local map, and you mistakenly validate the payment with the address of the person you want to send the package to. No way back possible since the purchase is no longer made in your name. Therefore, it is no longer possible to cancel the sale. It is also not possible to retrieve the package as it will not be in my name.

So I call the paid number provided: 08 91 24 45 63, hoping to be reimbursed by Vinted for the cost since it is an error on their part. After 29 minutes of waiting, they cut off the communication. So beware, SCAM.

This is how this « very nice company Â» works, which advertises heavily but saves as much money as possible on personnel for communication, to the complete detriment of its customers. I can only blame them on this matter.

They probably didn’t understand your story at all.

You say: you validate the payment with the address of the person you want to send the package to. So you are the seller, but it’s the buyer who pays, so there’s nothing to validate!!

If you are the seller, the shipping label will be in the buyer’s name and will be provided by Vinted.

Sorry if I didn’t understand anything, but generally the procedure is quite simple.

@74Claude - I still don’t understand. You are the buyer and your package was sent to another region and you couldn’t pick it up, so it was sent back to the seller, is that right?? And you confirmed receipt of the package by mistake, is that right??

Thank you for your interest in my problem, which is indeed very complicated.
I have been using Vinted from time to time for several years, and there have never been any problems.

I am not going to re-explain everything (it already took me all afternoon), but after much (too much) research on the site, I finally found how to contact Vinted’s legal department, and I have explained everything to them.

If you are not going to collect the package, you will be refunded, so in the end there is no problem. And your explanation was not clear at all.
