Buyer did not collect the package. The package is returned but gets lost on the way. Vinted refuses to refund me

Hello

I sent a package. The buyer didn’t pick it up because they had gone on vacation. The package is being returned but gets lost along the way. I notified Vinted, who replied that I could relist the item. I explained that I hadn’t received it back since it was lost. They responded that they stood by their decision and that I would not be refunded. I’m hallucinating. Is this usual?

Alas, it happens. We lose the money and the item. Despite dozens of emails exchanged with this completely crazy AI. This is why now, depending on the category of the item, I cancel the sale if it’s Vinted Go or Mondial Relay.

Alas yes, Vinted is not very reliable for that.

For me, a package was declared « not found in the locker », the sale was cancelled and the buyer refunded. A week later, it was delivered and Vinted didn’t pay me for the order. Luckily, I came across an honest buyer who warned me and offered to pay via PayPal herself.

Hello everyone, it happened to me once and I was reimbursed by Vinted by contacting support via vinted@vinted.fr and legal@vinted.fr

Hello,

Welcome to the forum! And thank you for your very descriptive title!
Like @Anton, I advise you to send emails. I have already had this situation and Vinted also reimbursed me.
Good luck!

Hello,

I had this situation with orders in October and December. 2 packages lost. One for 140 euros, the other for 70 euros. Emails won’t work, or the energy/win ratio is quite miserable…

I came across a sub Reddit 3 days ago, use SignalConso, it’s magical.

I sent a report for the first one on SignalConso, I sent the screenshots to Vinted and 3 hours later, magically, they refunded me (December order).

For the second one, I just reopened a dispute and mentioned that I was going to send a report on SignalConso, 10 minutes later I was refunded. Simple and effective, I didn’t think that would be the case.

Hello,

But can this really work??? Because I’m losing hope with an AI that doesn’t respond…

Some people are luckier than others… SignalConso is a fifty-fifty chance, and that’s even…

Try following these steps:

Hello Sandra, I would structure the follow-up by clearly separating two points:

  1. You have fulfilled your obligation as a seller: package deposited + tracking available.

  2. The return was lost before restitution, so you need to ask Vinted either for proof of a return actually delivered or for compensation related to the transport.

Attach to the same message: deposit slip/proof of deposit, outbound tracking, return tracking indicating loss or non-delivery, screenshot of Vinted’s decision, and screenshots of your exchanges. Explicitly request the reopening of the dispute and a reasoned response within 7 days. I would not indicate that the item can be resold until it has physically returned, to prevent Vinted from considering that you accept their decision.

Transparency: I work on Rescuro (rescuro.nanocorp.app), a tool that helps structure Vinted disputes and draft follow-ups. The free analysis can especially help transform these documents into a clear message to send to support/legal.
