Hello, I am very disappointed with Vinted. I received an empty package. I filed a claim and sent all the evidence, and after 2 months they told me they are refunding the seller and not me
. The package I received was not even with the same carrier, and the weight of 1kg does not correspond to the weight of a PS5. But despite all this evidence, it’s the seller who gets refunded. Who do they think they are fooling? €260 gone up in smoke. I contacted them again, but they don’t want to know anything. So I contacted Signal Conso and the fraud repression agency. We’ll see what they do. I’ve been ripped off, and I’m the one who isn’t reimbursed. It’s the world upside down! I don’t know if anyone else is in the same situation as me, and how did you get reimbursed?
Hello Mira,
Welcome to the forum.
Did you look via the magnifying glass at the top right? This allows you to see if other buyers are in the same situation as you. To my knowledge, this situation has not been reported here.
Hello - for items of this value, it is better to use other platforms where you will have the ability to take out insurance for transport - I am talking for example about this American platform. There you edit your own label and you can choose Mondial Relay delivery for example and increase your basic insurance. For Vinted, it’s one person’s word against another’s and difficult to decide.
I agree with you!
When you already see claims, disputes, and abuse with low-cost items, I would never attempt it with high-value items.
What should have been done is if the package was indeed seen as very, very light (a problem), it would have been necessary to film the entire package with the shipping slip (showing it not yet opened) and continue filming with the opening and the contents, specifying that the video was taken in its entirety due to a blatant problem with the package’s weight.
Good evening goodjob2A, that’s what I did. I filmed the opening with the label and even the empty cake wrappers inside, but they didn’t understand. They said I didn’t pick up the package and someone took it instead of me, even though the shopkeeper scanned the label and my name was on it. I filed a complaint with the consumer protection agency and I’m waiting for their response, we’ll see. But it’s true that I won’t make any more purchases of such a large amount via Vinted because they are not reliable.
