Vinted imposes customer returns 500 km from my home

Vinted sending me customer returns 500 km away from my home…

Obviously, if I don’t go pick it up, I lose the package and don’t get the money, and when I contact Vinted, they tell me they can’t do anything!

And it’s not the first time… I think this company has the biggest quota of incapable people in the history of recruitment! I can’t wait for all these wonderful people to be replaced by AIs that can read what I write and not give irrelevant answers 8 weeks later!

Where did you drop off the package? Near your home or 500km away, for example, during a trip. What address did you register on your profile? It might be the issue depending on the carriers?

As I understand you, fortunately that has never happened to me, but the last time it was 20 km away with a maximum of 5 days to go get it. I’ve already had 3 returns in 2 weeks and never in the same place!!!

Hello,

Actually, the package left my place. And in my profile, it is indicated that returns are to my place. Nothing explains this address…

Hello, I’ve had this happen several times. When your package arrives, click on « received. » You can then open a dispute for a package received at a different relay point. Take a screenshot of your return address noted on Vinted and a screenshot of Mappy indicating the distance. You should be reimbursed

Same here, I’m a pro and had the same issue.

For returns, it’s the customer who chooses unfortunately… (it’s also indicated in the dispute, I think).

Since then, I tell the customer who returns an item that if the package must be dropped off at a specific relay point, and not another, otherwise they will not be reimbursed. I specify this politely but firmly.

Thank you, but we won’t mark a package as received when it hasn’t been. I wouldn’t take that risk

We’re talking about a return. Normally, once the return is received, we can no longer intervene on the item.

I’m telling you this because I’m a Pro and this happens to me regularly. The package arrives in another department. If you do nothing, the package will be returned to the sender. You will have lost everything. If you mark the package as received, you will have a button « I have a problem » provided for this purpose. You can explain your dispute here. After that, do as you see fit, but if you do nothing, you will have nothing

Thank you, we might end up trying that after all, because their staff is so out of touch!

Thank you for everything

However: our order has already been canceled, and the buyer has already been refunded by Vinted, we no longer have control over the order. Besides, it systematically happens that Vinted gives the money to the buyers without waiting for us to confirm that the return is compliant. In case of a problem, we are told: sorry, we can’t do anything, the buyer has already been refunded.

No, they are really missing the point. If your transaction has already been canceled, you should be able to access it in your completed sales. Open a dispute from there. Make a note, as I told you, of the distance, the address noted on your profile. (screenshot of delivery address, profile address, and Mappy) All the necessary information, and more. Insist, they can sometimes be very stubborn .
