Colissimo return request?

Hello,

Quick question: when a buyer opens a dispute and requests a return, can I ask for a Colissimo return? If so, how should I proceed?

Because when I click on « accept return, » the only option offered is to go through Vinted (return at my expense or theirs, with a label generated by the platform). Except last time I did that, the package was sent back across town, which was really inconvenient

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! :folded_hands:

So, several things. To start, you have a checkbox in your profile:

Next, it’s better to clearly state it in your terms and conditions. At least that « protects » you from customer complaints, or at least allows you to brush them off with a « I’m not responsible if you don’t read the terms and conditions of the shops where you make purchases. » And this will be a duplicate of Vinted’s terms and conditions, where it’s also indicated.

Now, the most important point: Vinted is so inconsistent that what I’m about to say is based on my experience, but apparently, it’s not always the case (the why and how, I don’t know, we’re talking about Vinted).
Yes, when you click on « request return, » they will generally select the pickup point from where the original package was sent (at least, that’s always been the case for me). But I still find it limiting that we can’t choose the pickup point ourselves, especially when we’re covering the return costs and thus choosing the option that’s most favorable to us. However, if you let Vinted resolve the request themselves, they have always treated it as a 14-day withdrawal period with the item being sent back to the company’s address. Even when it was a dispute for a damaged item (I cover it or refund it when that’s the case, unless the buyer is unpleasant, then I let them sort it out with Vinted).

Thanks for your feedback! Where do we tick this box? I’ve looked everywhere but can’t find it

I had already indicated « return by post only » in my terms and conditions, so that should be fine  I’m just afraid Vinted will refund the customer without me being able to get my package back, if the customer doesn’t reply to my message… But it seems to me that if a member of the Vinted team analyzes the dispute, they will see that I provided my address and my conditions for return? But their way of deciding is sometimes so random…

Thanks again for your help!

you simply go to « settings » and then « profile information » it’s just below the company address (but it’s not on a personal account)

that’s why I’m being cautious in my last paragraph, they are annoying
