Does Vinted favor certain carriers?

Hello, I’m discovering this forum today! I think I’ll propose a topic that has already been discussed. I have a Mondial Relay point near me: it’s impossible for me to use it, whether as a buyer or a seller… Vinted has simply blocked this option in my shipping preferences… I’m wasting a lot of time and I can’t reach them… it doesn’t make sense… unless they favor Chronopost for commercial reasons? What do you think? I was wondering, since it’s not possible to reach Vinted support: have some of you tried to go through Mondial Relay? to inform them about Vinted’s deliberate blocking? Thank you!

Hello,

I rather have the impression that this block is related to your own account.

This is not a general issue; Mondial Relay is one of the most frequently used carriers.

Are you a private individual or a professional?

« « Has anyone tried using Mondial Relay » »

Yes, me. It’s been several weeks since I could buy anything because the drop-off points offered, either Chronopost or Mondial Relay, are 30-40 km away from my home, even though I have about ten nearby.

I informed Vinted, but they don’t seem to understand, with a different person each time who always asks for the same information.

I contacted Mondial Relay and received no response.

Result: I’m transferring my credits to my bank account since I can no longer buy. (Home delivery is still an option, but it’s too expensive).

So… I did some purchase tests on several Pro items and personal accounts, and I asked colleagues (3 people) to do the same… (with the same items)
On PC and on mobile…
The results are random… sometimes you can buy the same item with Mondial Relay, other times it’s no longer offered… who knows why?
Shop2Shop is offered
A balance of carriers for Vinted? A bot that acts as a sorter?
I now understand some drops in sales and buyer comments… since the same buyer will have the option to choose their preferred pickup point, and at other times, they can no longer find their pickup point, or worse, they are only offered Shop2shop.
Here, we can’t talk about a blockage due to a full locker, since there is no package limit for a

That’s it. Mondial Relay has a registered capacity and removes the pickup point when it’s reached. That’s why pickup points may disappear during the Christmas period.

ok ok… so as soon as they reach a threshold of packages per sector, they limit the possibility of using their service…
ok ok thanks @Gametoysretro

Yes, that’s what a drop-off point I used to go to explained to me at first. Besides, I don’t go there anymore because of that, as they were often full (it’s a small tobacco shop/newsstand) and they were grumpy with large packages.

Huh? I’m a private individual

Thank you, it sounds like what I’m experiencing… in my village , MR and Laposte are available, only MR is selected, so I have to drive miles to MR…

Thank you,

For my part, the blockage due to a full locker is not relevant since the MR relay is not a locker and it doesn’t even appear on the map of MR relays around my home, neither as a buyer nor as a seller… it is however a relay that works very well. As a buyer, I am offered the relay 10 kms away, as a seller, when the buyer is not in France.

Mondial Relay has a registered capacity and Vinted removes the pickup point when it is reached.

From removing an entire city? In June? When there are no issues on other platforms?

We must take into account that with Vinted go, Mondial Relay is a competitor, and furthermore, they have renegotiated their prices with LBC and eBay, which are therefore now cheaper than on Vinted. I rather have the feeling that they are trying to disadvantage them.

This weekend, Mondial Relay shipping via Le Bon Coin was €0.99 and I think they must have been overloaded.

I do not recommend Vinted Go shipping because the transit is very long and they have already lost 3 packages for me…

I dropped off packages at relay points and lockers without any issues, and as I said, no problems with other platforms, and they are the same relay points. It’s just Vinted messing up as usual.

It’s mostly the buyers and sellers they disadvantage by wanting to sideline Mondial Relay.
And I’m not talking about the loss of earnings (no commission for them)
These Lithuanian decision-makers are really strange

They must see there are fewer orders if they remove MR? no…

I don’t know because I have periods where suddenly I only have shop2shop, which is still similar to MR and the territory is well covered.
