5-day restriction

Hi everyone, it’s my turn to complain!! My account was restricted for 5 days for wholesale commercial sales. I specify that I have a personal profile but have been a professional for several years. I sell on several platforms including eBay as a professional, but Vinted is the only platform where I refuse to be professional. I had about 150 items in my closet and Vinted deleted 17 of them. Strangely, some time ago I had changed the background of my photos and it was precisely all these photos that were deleted. Fortunately for me, I never put all my eggs in one basket and I can still work. I had somewhat anticipated a restriction or a ban, and some of my clients now buy outside of Vinted to continue purchasing. At the end of my restriction, despite Vinted’s blackmail to go professional, I will remain personal, but I will space out my new publications a bit and also go back to my old background, which never caused any problems. Have you been bothered after a restriction or were you forced to go professional? Does the visibility remain the same as before the restriction? What were you forced to modify for Vinted to relax a bit? Thanks in advance for your answers.

Well, we are out, yesterday afternoon, for exactly the same reasons. Personally, I also saw a lot of reports.

Hello, I had the same thing on a new account, a 5-day restriction for commercial sales. I didn’t notice any shadowban after the 5 days. I continue to sell but with the dread that the account will be permanently closed. I’m trying to put items next to my articles to trick the bot but I’m starting to run out of items (today I switched to vegetables ) honestly I don’t know if this solution is effective or if they will end up catching me.

I don’t get it. Since you’re a pro, why don’t you opt for a pro account? In that case, you wouldn’t have any more banning problems?
What does it get you to not own up to your pro seller status on Vinted? Does it allow you to not declare your Vinted sales to the tax authorities?

I don’t feel like going pro on Vinted because their system isn’t clear, and from what I can see, it doesn’t prevent abusive restrictions or bans. Besides, there’s nothing I don’t declare; all my sales are reported to the tax authorities, and my URSSAF is up to date.

I checked, I only had 2 reports. The 1st at the end of March and the 2nd the day the account was restricted (like 10 mins before). I don’t think it was a report from a person but rather from Vinted. Like you, I’ll be careful, it’s clear that resuming will be a bit less serene!!

You surprise me, Vinted makes me hallucinate!!! It’s the only selling platform that prevents its sellers from selling and sometimes even its buyers from buying!!!

It’s even worse with pro accounts

At the same time, I keep coming across conversations on Facebook where people brag about reporting things left and right. The other day, they went after a lady who was reselling a Shein outfit, clearly advertised as such and second-hand, but her only fault was selling it too expensive. So she ended up with about 20 hyenas going wild on her account.

Oh yes, I completely agree with you!!

there are a few things that are still borderline, especially when I see the difference with eBay where it’s clear-cut.

According to my research, even professional accounts have been restricted in recent months for commercial sales (or dropshipping, as Vinted mentions in their message) crazy app

I saw these groups populated by single neurons, and even then they only have the one that stops them from soiling themselves!! I was astonished by the level!!

On eBay, it’s cool compared to Vinted because everything is set up for pros. I’ve been there for many years and have no intention of leaving.

Exactly, pros have no privileged status, quite the contrary!! This way of working doesn’t appeal to me at all!!

No, but they are completely in cult mode for an application that doesn’t care about them at all.

No, but I dream of being able to switch entirely to eBAY, it would be a liberation if I could do without Vinted.

What is a shame is that the other platforms have collapsed. Because if I did what I used to do on Rakuten, LBC, or even Beebs, I could delete my Vinted account (or just have a small personal one to get a bonus).

I suppose pros aren’t banned for « wholesale commercial sales », are they?

It’s clear that while they are setting themselves on fire, Vinted is feeding itself generously off them without them realizing it.

I too would dream of being able to be entirely on eBay, and I am very happy that things are starting to move a little again!!

Yes, unfortunately that happens!! I have a friend to whom this happened!!

Same here, I was doing well on Vide Dressing. But Vinted is a hit, and it’s not by chance:

  1. It’s very well made, the site is well-structured, you can present your products well there and buyers can find them easily
  2. It’s very easy to use
  3. The fees are absolutely minimal

The downside is that you don’t have a contact person, and management is done haphazardly. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. A site that uses more staff and handles problems better will inevitably charge more commission!
