I’m seeking help because my Vinted Pro account has just been permanently banned for « commercial listings subject to restrictions. » The problem is that the 8 listings in question are completely ordinary; some items have been there for months, and I’ve actually sold these exact figurines multiple times before. I am certain I am in compliance.
I’ve been a professional seller for over two years, I have a registered business, over 2600 5-star reviews, 5200 followers, and I only sell authentic products imported from Japan with all the necessary proof (customs, invoices, receipts).
I know the support team will respond with very generic messages, and I don’t know what to do.
I know that at one point there were Instagram accounts of Vinted staff members who could resolve certain situations, but I don’t know if that still exists.
So I’m asking you:
What recourse actually exists?
Who can be contacted when standard support is not enough?
Has anyone managed to get a pro account reactivated that was blocked incorrectly?
Thank you to those who can help me or give me a lead
I was blocked in September for two weeks for another reason. Blocks are frequent unfortunately. (Basically: a delivery driver was stealing my packages, Vinted suspected me of fraud, they took a long time to take into account my complaint against the driver, then unblocked with apologies from them and boosts offered as compensation)
There is a first appeal, to be made and prepared carefully by providing the most factual and easy-to-understand elements possible: evidence, evidence, evidence. (this does not work very often given the feedback)
If that doesn’t work, use « contact us » from the Vinted app or website from the dedicated help section.
And in parallel, send emails to legal@vinted.com and legal@vinted.fr.
Explain the situation, attach PNG files (PDFs are not taken into account).
And persevere (if you are really within the rules) until it is unblocked. The contacts change with each new request.
I had tried registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to the French establishment, but it yielded nothing.
Good luck
Have you thought about checking your personal data to see if you had a wave of reports.
Otherwise, commercial ads, on Vinted, correspond to the sale of new items and/or from suppliers in quantity, given what you describe, this could be a lead.
I have the same problem, my account has just been banned, without notice and without prior warning, permanently, for only one listing that apparently poses a problem. It says due to fraudulent activities, yet I have over 250 sales and 200 5-star reviews and I have never had the slightest problem before.
Since my account is banned, I cannot download my personal data. Do you know how I can do that? I have sent an appeal + an email to legal@vinted.comlegal@vinted.fr
I hope to at least get a reason and that they can re-examine my account. I have over 200 listings that I had posted, and I have a remaining amount of 230 euros pending (I still have about ten sales in progress but I no longer have access to my messages), do you know how this works for my ongoing sales? M
It seems I read in the terms and conditions that you can only sell items marketed in Europe. You are selling figurines imported from Japan. This might be the problem. You just need to have been reported by some nice people…
As mentioned above, check the reports and try legal@vinted.fr.
No, I was not aware of the trick for reporting, but with my account blocked now I no longer have access to the option.
Would this be a valid argument with Vinted?
For now, I obviously only have automatic messages, nothing concrete.
Did you get a two-week ban or a permanent ban that was re-evaluated and overturned?
I don’t know if I’m going to keep sending emails in a loop.
What do you mean by proof? Supplier invoice? Ursaff declaration? Honestly, I don’t really know what to send them, I don’t even know what I’m accused of, my listings are correct, my sales prove it, my products are widely distributed on the platform and authorized by Vinted.
My listings have the following template model, are in the Figurines category and are in « good condition »
Model: Figure / Figurine Ichimatsu Special Costume Matsuno
Anime/License: Osomatsu San
Brand: Bandai
Original tape still present
Original tape still present
A permanent ban that was subsequently overturned two weeks later after a long journey to be heard and understood.
Proof of non-violation of Vinted’s Terms and Conditions. The banning message is never explicit, so one does not know the reality of what is being reproached.
Try several approaches
Having the vision account blocked is a real disaster, we lose access to everything except the ability to withdraw our money and exchange with support. I don’t think you can download the data as mentioned above.
For ongoing sales:
Package delivered, happy customer => Nothing to report
Package lost => Compensated after 25 days
Package delivered, unhappy customer => Vinted sends an email to notify you, to which you can reply to express your wish (accept return or refund).
If you have not shipped the packages:
1/ You do not ship => Sale canceled => Automatic negative review
2/ You ship => Standard process
I have trouble knowing what is valid with them, it’s so complicated to work with this platform.
That remains to be seen if they haven’t improved in detecting new items disguised as used, it’s not the first time I’ve read about problems lately regarding this. So personally, I sell a lot of new items, I don’t even put « good condition » but on the other hand, I put a lot of used items in parallel, I haven’t had any trouble for almost 2 years doing it like this.
real second-hand. For example, I had entire boxes of DVDs and VHS tapes in my garage that I don’t use. Then I put things from my collections that I want to sell off a bit (like laserdiscs or retro gaming). This allows me to have a lot of second-hand items, I don’t necessarily price them very high since I’m not specifically looking to sell, but if it happens, I make a good sale. Besides, it stays in the back of my closet, I never repost the ads.
Naturally, the listing had a photo of the book taken by myself.
However, I noticed that the cover of this book was difficult to find; listings offering this title on Amazon or elsewhere did not display it, even though it is on Google Books.
Interesting, however, is this image hunt, here for a very specialized work dating from 1979, which can only attract the eye of a handful of specialists.
I did see that the email claimed « AI hunt, » and the most likely scenario is that the publisher holding the rights, an American heavyweight, is behind the complaint.
