Abusive restriction of a professional account for commercial sales

Hello,
Today I was temporarily restricted from selling on my account due to commercial sales, even though I have a pro account. Are there any people here who have already encountered this problem and managed to get unblocked? I remember someone having to contact someone from the company via LinkedIn, it seems, and getting unblocked, but I no longer have the link to the post.

Received the same message this morning except that for now I am not restricted

oh damn I received the same message and I just made a post. I’m coming out of 5 days of being blocked for commercial sales (for a pro account, the height of it), and now I have this warning when I’m already pro…

A lot of us received this warning message this morning.
Even though we are already on a pro account…
The bot must have glitched.

I don’t know who manages this company, but they are really not good and are alienating their clientele, with a worsening reputation. They want to go into the US and UK markets. They will get torn apart

Same here, even though I only sell second-hand items and not crafts. They are really not good. Or maybe they want to get rid of the pros.

By consulting certain Vinted pro Facebook groups, indeed many of us received this message around 8 am this morning. But what scares me is that some people received notices of restriction or blocking later in the day after this message.

This is why I wonder if their strategy is not to get rid of the pros.

Received this morning as well.

So we can all be blocked at any moment…

The question is: what can we do to start emancipating ourselves right now.

same, temporary or even permanent restriction

I don’t see why? We are the ones who pay the most for boosts, who make the most sales and therefore generate traffic and sales…

I got a pro account on leboncoin. We’re going to test it.

Have you been blocked? What reason do they give?

from what I’ve seen, it’s often the same reason:

Some of the listings you published on Vinted have been identified as commercial listings subject to restrictions, which goes against our Catalog Rules and our Vinted Pro Terms and Conditions.

Consequently, we have removed one or more of your listings and restricted your ability to sell for 5 days.

We made this decision because the characteristics of your listing(s) indicated that you were selling one or more of the following items, which Pro sellers are not allowed to sell on Vinted:

  • cosmetic products

  • items for rent, made to order, or available on demand

  • large quantities of new items (including those with original tags)

  • items you designed or made yourself

  • items purchased wholesale or generally associated with dropshipping and low value

for me, it was this. Even though I don’t sell anything from these categories!

Yes, I was blocked @Eno for that reason, even though, similarly, I do not sell items in that category.

There are simpler ways to do it if that’s the goal

Mandatory pro account (that’s normal), mandatory monthly subscription to access the pro interface (which will obviously offer nothing more), 20% sales commission like Rakuten and it’s done, they won’t have any left.

It’s an illusion, professionals are not very developed on Vinted. I’ve seen many long-time eBay or Rakuten sellers try Vinted and disappear after 3 months. On Vinted, it’s essentially self-entrepreneurs. Of course, given their policy, a company that really works won’t bother with this.

Le Bon Coin did it for real estate. And is the French leader in this field. Ahead of SeLoger. Knowing that 70% of transactions are done through a professional. Unless Vinted, after stealing the item market from Le Bon Coin, also wants to steal its real estate and car market . On the other hand, in the US market, if Vinted behaves like in France, they will cry. Besides, I was wondering if in Spain and Italy, professional Vinted sellers are obliged to register as professionals because I don’t see any.

yes but hey, Foncia might not have the same firepower as self-employed individuals who pick up clothes at flea markets  might as well go on eBAy which is a bit more reasonable.

And do you see many professionals in Vinted categories on LBC? because where I am, it’s extremely rare and doesn’t seem to work.

The second-hand market is nascent. Everyone is fumbling a bit. There aren’t that many « real » autonomous companies. Everything needs to be done. Or else it’s a bubble that will burst in a few years (I’m betting on 3 years).
