Restricted without justification because of my photos

Me neither… :woman_shrugging:

I don’t even share anything from Vinted on my own profile..

Hello,
Good question, but I don’t know the answer  I haven’t tested it personally. It’s possible that it disconnects you for security reasons :slightly_smiling_face:

it will have no effect on Clemz (100% sure) and I don’t think it would affect the Forum connection either (90% sure).

If it ever blocks you, we will help!

Same for me, 42 photos deleted. I changed the photos and a few words of the text, but nothing worked… So my account was suspended for 3 days, and then what? I’m not going to redo 600 ads am I!

For my part, I was banned for 1 week for a single report of counterfeiting, I complained to Signal Conso. I am waiting for their response.

Why are you suspended? What does Vinted say?
Check your reports too

For low-quality photos or photos that don’t belong to me! What a mess!!

Hello
Probably due to reports then…

Don’t let them get away with it and contest it with Vinted! If we let reports block us, anyone can put a spanner in the works with 3 clicks. It’s not normal

When you complain, you get « stupider you die » kind of answers!

The answer has changed indeed

Oh my gosh I’m so happy to have found this- I am in the exact same boat. Except I am a business. I have requested a copy of my data… I am quite sure that if you are a professional seller and someone targets you in this way, you can legally request their details and pursue legal action because it is defamation and has consequences under concurrence laws..

has anyone else gone that far? I think I will if this carries on. I will have no choice frankly!

Hello, I am also interested in your approach.

I am also a professional seller and my account has been restricted several times, without a truly clear explanation in my opinion. This has had a direct impact on my turnover and my business.

I have already filed a report via Signal Conso, but it has not yielded any truly conclusive results so far.

If you have made progress in your steps or obtained useful information, I would be interested in discussing it.

Hello everyone,

Like many here, I recently started using AI-generated photos as my first image, as it indeed boosts sales exponentially. I have the paid version of ChatGPT and I ensure that the generated visual remains very faithful to my original photo. I then add several real photos of the item, from all angles.

I am a non-professional seller, it’s only my personal closet.

I had a few reports and a first 3-day restriction because of it. Since then, I’ve reworked my photos to make them very realistic. I got unblocked, updated a few listings… and bam, restricted again for a single listing.

At first, I thought it was still reports, but upon downloading the file, I saw that the last report dated back to the first restriction. Apparently, it’s therefore Vinted’s bot that deleted the listing and restricted me again for 3 days for « photo taken from the web ». I contested it.

My question: has anyone already gone through two consecutive restrictions? Is there a risk that the duration will increase the third time? And is it better to keep a low profile for a while to prevent the bots from continuing to scan the account? :grimacing: I really feel like after a first restriction, we are much more monitored by Vinted bots… especially since now no one is reporting me anymore.

Hello. I am in your case as well. Two restrictions in a row in 2 days. Result: 2 restrictions of 3 days for photos from the Web, on the grounds that I use AI for the main photo. Apparently, according to the data, I am being reported by jealous people. I have written several times to the legal department and contested all restrictions. I am waiting for their response. One day, a person reported more than 40 of my listings in a row. Immediately, they were hidden… What should I do? Everyone should report this to Vinted… Is the goal to prevent us from selling?

By the way, what I find truly unbearable is that a simple report is enough to hide or delete an ad, without any proof being requested. Then, it’s up to us to prove that it is indeed our own photo… even though an ad with MY original photo has already been reported to me

So, it’s way too easy to abuse the system.

I still hope Vinted will improve this in the future. For example, when someone reports a “photo taken from the web,” they should at least be required to provide the link to the photo in question.

Yes, absolutely agree, because it’s impossible to publish or modify my listings at the moment. Who could be targeting my account like this? Reporting = listing hidden then restriction…

And how can I prove the photos belong to me? Personally, I compress them to send them to myself by email, so the information relating to photo parameters is no longer visible…

All of this is so unfair, while so many Vinted sellers list prohibited items for sale, counterfeits, or items without brand labels…

Hello,

for each photo, there are some « attached » data, which are metadata, such as EXIF, GPS data, camera information, copyrights, licenses, and other goodies.

On Windows, a right-click on the photo and in Properties, you will see what you are sending with the photo.

I think the best is to remove these metadata, with certain software, it is possible to delete them.

A+

Hello,

Quick update from my end: Vinted replied following my first appeal. They acknowledged their mistake, apologized, and reinstated my listing!

For your information, I use my own photo taken in my living room and then “dress” myself using AI. So, I provided Vinted with the original photo as well as the AI-generated photo.

Well, it’s already positive that they acknowledge the abusive removal and restriction, but that doesn’t stop me from being restricted for 3 days, which is still quite annoying…

So, I have a question: can the fact that my appeal was accepted make the bots “leave me alone” a bit in the future, or not at all?:face_with_monocle:

Hello,

it’s what I was saying a little further up about AI placing information in the photo metadata and their sloppy, low-level scanners probably picked it up.

Now, I think they are escalating; you were blocked for 3 days, then it will be 5 days, then 7 days, and after that a total ban.

Have a nice day.
