A quick question for those who use (or have tested) AI-generated visuals for their ads.
Have you ever had any issues with Vinted (hidden ads, warnings, etc.)?
And if not, are there any best practices to follow to avoid problems (type of background, rendering, photo style, etc.)?

Yes, I use AI quite regularly to create photos of myself wearing items. I explained how to do it here on the forum in December 2025

And my usage hasn’t changed since that comment 
Yes, I’ve sometimes had listings hidden. I waited a few days, then deleted and relisted the item, and had no problems.

I used AI-generated photos last year, and after several reports and deleted listings, I decided to stop.
Now I’m testing folded/flat photos, which are getting good stats, but one listing was hidden again this morning.
I mainly wanted to compare practices and see what precautions to take today.

Please be especially careful, as groups have been created on Facebook and likely elsewhere, their creed: report all accounts that have photos made with AI!!! May this not cause you harm, it’s true they are prettier but I opted for less beautiful but no AI, I don’t want to be reported…

I’ve been using AI for over 6 months for cover photos of clothes that don’t fit me, natural style but with the head cut off, otherwise the ad is immediately hidden. I went about it calmly for a few months without any problems, but I sped things up a bit when I saw how much it boosted my visibility… The result was 3 crazy weeks of sales… then 3 account restrictions in a row, and since then my account has been under the scrutiny of bots, under increased surveillance it seems. A single report is enough to get me restricted, so it’s safe to say I’m keeping a low profile until I’m out of the bots’ surveillance… Visibility of my closet: annihilated 
But many other accounts have AI photos without being bothered at all!! So test with caution and stop in time if you ever get caught… but it’s worth it.

I have the impression that a white background more easily triggers the controls.
What type of background do you use with the AI?
Natural background: the instruction is a light-painted wall, so not at all a white background, even though we indeed see many AI photos on white backgrounds.
I never use a white background, indeed.
@Gametoysretro has been pointing this out for a while: a white background looks too « professional » and is less appealing to buyers 
On my side, I observe that many professional accounts work very well with a white background, provided that the photos are real.
However, the white background + AI seems to attract more attention.

Quick feedback: I just had an ad for a Sézane sweater hidden. Was I « reported »? Unlikely, I hope—I’m a small personal account. Could it be because the wearing photo was « AI-optimized for a model, » even though I mentioned it in the ad?
So far, this is the only ad of mine that’s been hidden, while other ads of mine with wearing photos featuring AI-optimized models haven’t received any warnings.
Is Vinted being more « vigilant » with certain brands?
Tested two AI ads, hidden an hour later, never tried again since.
it’s especially that it’s a massive lure for reports of photos from the web
I tested for months, hundreds of reports, so behind that, visibility totally down (certainly shadow banned by Vinted) and the listings whose photos I redo are doing better (but a titanic task to redo everything)

You can view your reports from your Vinted wardrobe: in Settings > Privacy settings > Manage account data.
You will receive an email within a few hours with a file to download. You should look in « alert_by_other_members » or a name quite similar to it.
Yes, that’s what I checked, no report.
By deduction, it is therefore the photo worn by the mannequin that triggered the alert.
Where it’s « interesting » is that the alert only occurred for this ad, brand Sezane, not for the others. Is it for later?
Are some brands more « protected »?

Why is it unreadable? You need to unzip the file and then you will be able to read it.
