Chronopost issue: packages shipped but poorly scanned

Hello,

I need help with a major issue regarding Vinted shipments via Chronopost Pickup.

On Saturday, I dropped off about 30 Vinted packages at a Pickup point. The packages were picked up by the Chronopost delivery driver and are therefore no longer at the pickup point.

The problem is that the driver apparently did not scan them upon collection. As a result, today, Tuesday, all 30 packages still appear on Vinted as if they had not been shipped.

Today, Vinted is starting to automatically cancel several orders, leading to refunds and negative reviews. The packages have already left and are physically in Chronopost’s hands.

I contacted the Pickup point: they told me to deal with Chronopost.
I contacted Chronopost: they told me to deal with Vinted.
And on Vinted, I can’t find any clear way to directly contact support for this issue.

  • Buyers risk being refunded even though they might still receive their packages;
  • I therefore risk losing both the items and the money;
  • Orders may be considered as not shipped even though I did drop them off within the deadlines;
  • And I also fear receiving bad reviews or automatic negative reviews, when the problem stems from the Chronopost scan.

Has anyone else had exactly this problem with Chronopost Pickup and Vinted?

Is there a way to block the automatic cancellations or to get Vinted to acknowledge that the packages were indeed shipped, even without an initial Chronopost scan?

And above all, what happens if Vinted refunds the buyers and the packages are eventually delivered?

Thank you very much to those who can help me or tell me what approach worked in their case.

Hello
Did you not have the button « you have X days left to send the package Â» with the option to click « I have already sent the package Â»?
I know that this exists on the individual side, I don’t know about the professional side?

CC Lucille yes it exists, but people want their tracking and are unhappy because they think I haven’t dropped off the package. I have 0 days left today to drop off, so they will be refunded and likely delivered. Poor little sellers that we are, we carry no weight against Chronopost or Vinted who pass the buck.

Once again their procedure is not good, they scan when we drop off but it doesn’t update.

Finally, I quite like the lockers because at least it’s always indicated as dropped off. (even if it bugs out sometimes too)

Another example, DHL: I have 5 packages, the guy has to type the codes manually (no scanner). He types 2 and then tells me, « I’ll finish up, you can go, Â» because it takes a long time.

This was this morning, the 3 packages he didn’t scan in front of me were not registered.

We really can’t have ANY confidence.

I understand, but in this case, I explain the situation by saying that I did drop it off and that I’m checking with Chronopost why it’s not being scanned.

yes, but nonetheless the package is refunded due to non-shipment. And you know people, it’s not their problem, for them it’s up to you to ensure it, and somewhere, they are right.

Ok, but the packages are automatically rescanned at the St Jean de Védas Sorting Center.
So, you should have received the pickup notifications from Vinted by Saturday afternoon.

Silly question, but are you absolutely sure your packages actually left the pickup point?
Did you go back to check?
Because it’s possible they are still there.

Another question, do you wait for the packages to be scanned by the person at the pickup point when you drop them off, or do you make the same mistake I might have made, which is to leave the bag of your packages with them so they can be scanned when they have time.

I’m asking you because the same thing happened to me.
I used to leave a white Chrono bag full of my packages at the pickup point and take an empty bag, until one day the person left the packages in the back room without scanning them and handing them over to the driver.
He forgot.
What alerted me was that I didn’t receive the Vinted notifications, so I went back to the pickup point the next day to drop off other packages, and I asked the person about it.
He found them in the back room, still in the same bag.
It was only a one-day delay, which didn’t affect the deadline, but luckily it alerted me and since then I wait for them to scan the packages, even if it means losing a bit of time.

So, when you dropped them off on Saturday, they weren’t synchronized upon receipt at the Sorting Center. Therefore, they weren’t transported.

Afterward, as Lucile pointed out, you can delay the shipment of the packages while you wait to see where they are.

Did you check the Chrono tracking? https://www.chronoshop2shop.fr/tracking/#/home
Enter one or two of your package tracking numbers to see…
If they are not registered, don’t bother looking further, they are still at the pickup point.

Good luck…

Hi! For Chronopost (which should be avoided as much as possible on all platforms), the essential thing to do is to have them stamp the drop-off slip. If they refuse, change drop-off points. With this slip, you can contest.

Of course I went back to the drop-off point. The parcels have been sent. (I’ve been going there for years, and we checked with the manager, plus the parcels were scanned in front of me on Saturday, but you never know)

No, they haven’t been re-scanned at the sorting center because they would be up to date.

No, I never leave a bag without them scanning it in front of me, never. No trust at all. (even though I did it earlier with DHL, and perhaps I shouldn’t have, since 3 parcels weren’t processed)

I’ve already delayed the shipment, but since I was traveling, some parcels were already well into the delivery window.

There is no tracking because they haven’t been scanned.

There is no drop-off slip anymore because when you resize, it doesn’t show up anymore. but that’s what should be done, but we can’t cope anymore, everything takes 10 years for the slightest operation as soon as we have a small volume of shipments.

It’s crazy to have to be suspicious everywhere. It’s the South, you know, it’s nothing new
