Hello, I dropped off my Chronopost package at the post office directly. The clerk scanned it in front of me. The package was never marked as sent. I don’t have proof as Vinted asks me because the people scan the package but don’t give you proof. Neither Vinted go nor Mondial Relay nor Relais colis… The post office tells me to contact Chronopost, who tells me to contact Vinted, who asks me for proof of deposit… They lost my package… And I lost 50 euros. What happens if the buyer receives the package after cancellation? She was refunded but I lose my sale and my item… Vinted doesn’t want to know anything, what should I do?
It’s strange, normally the post is by Colissimo and Chronopost by Shop 2 Shop… Anyway, if your buyer is honest and the package eventually arrives at its destination… They don’t pick it up and it should return to square one.
You should still have a tracking number somewhere and should be able to track this package on the carrier’s website directly… If the package has left, however… Maybe check your shipping label?
Hello!
I agree with @Malelo you must have a follow-up with a number somewhere
Go back to your post otherwise explaining the problem?
I think the package is at the post office. If Chronopost had picked it up, they would have already scanned it and I would have my proof of deposit. I haven’t received anything after they scanned it. So no solution? I’m losing my sale. I’m going to file a complaint at the post office since I printed it and have the number. However, it’s strange, I no longer have it in my downloads… I can’t reprint it. But in the end, you need to wait to receive the SMS or email confirming that the package is on its way before leaving again. Thank you for your answers.
I have it, but the post office doesn’t want to know. As mentioned in my other response, I will file a complaint. Thank you.
You should have the slip either the Vinted sales email or in your downloads, or in your trash at worst.
If I were you, I would try diplomacy with the post office first, explaining that you are looking for a package that was mistakenly given for shipping (when it should have been dropped off at a shop 2 shop) and that it should be at their premises since it wasn’t sent… Because honestly, a complaint against them won’t get you your package or your money back… At least not for a very long time.
The solution for me is to maintain positive communication overall and also with your buyer in case they receive that famous package.
Hello, it happened to me too but Vinted go. I gave it to the relay point, she scanned it, told me ok, it’s good, and 3 days later they tell me « it’s time to send the package ». It was never taken into account. Package lost and never returned.
Hello
When the Vinted reminder message arrived, did you click on « Sent »?
Because sometimes the tracking doesn’t activate on Vinted and clicking helps… And at worst, Vinted launches an investigation to find out more.
Hello, yes I clicked send after a few days but they deleted everything and sent me the slip back. I had already sent the package so I did nothing but send them emails and they canceled the sale…
And no proof of deposit…
Yes, I will be diplomatic. Thank you for your advice. I no longer have the slip. I often empty my trash and it is not in my phone’s downloads, even though I have all the old ones… Strange.
Yes, that’s strange… Besides, this whole story is strange ![]()
Unfortunately, without a package or tracking number, you cannot know if your package has been sent or is still at the post office… You’ll have to check with them
Good evening, if I have the number but nothing else. Namely, ASK FOR A STAMP ON THE PAPER YOU HAVE LEFT WHEN YOU PRINT THE VOUCHER TO HAVE PROOF OF YOUR DEPOSIT AND KEEP IT.
WAIT TO RECEIVE THE DEPOSIT CONFIRMATION EMAIL BEFORE LEAVING THE RELAY POINT, LOCKER OR OTHER.
This will prevent your package from being « stolen » and also avoid the cancellation of your sale.
Thank you
Okay, then with this number… Have you tried to « track » your package on the post office or Chronopost website?
Second idea… Try contacting the post office by phone with this number… Without mentioning Vinted… Sometimes when you speak to different people (on the phone platform) you get different answers… Because the idea of checking with Vinted for package tracking is unacceptable… Vinted is not the carrier and is in no way responsible for the transport…
Keep us informed
Hello, I am currently having the exact same problem and no help either. I am being sent to look for answers left and right that I cannot find. How did this problem end for you? Were you able to be reimbursed?
Hello, after multiple visits to the post office, I learned that the package was indeed scanned there, as the recipient’s relay point was displayed on their screen. I never received proof of this. Chronopost did not scan the package as expected (at the time of pickup at the post office), and it is lost… They refuse to listen. I lost my sneakers, my sale for 50 euros, and I received 1 star for the sale that didn’t happen. Vinted didn’t help me either, as they don’t track packages with anyone. I therefore advise you to ask for proof of deposit before leaving the relay point or the post office (a stamp on paper) or to not leave until you have received proof by email. Good luck.
Thank you very much for your answer. So you were never reimbursed? I saw that you wanted to file a complaint, did you do it or not because it’s something I’m considering doing if I don’t get any solution.
I have never been reimbursed because I could not file a complaint with people who refuse to listen and point the finger at others as guilty, especially with the AI system that responds to you and does not allow it. It is very difficult to get a human on the phone… Good luck to you.
