My account is blocked for reaching the VAT threshold, except that it asks me to add a VAT number, except that when I click on the link it takes me directly back to my blocked account so I can’t add anything… Do you have any ideas, or have you already encountered this situation?
I was just told that someone exceeded 25k in revenue since the beginning of the year and got banned. What is your revenue since the beginning of the year and in total since you registered? Apparently, starting today, all professionals who have exceeded 25k since the beginning of the year are being banned.
And so: VAT is calculated on the turnover, basically if you buy for €10 you resell for €20, you give about €4 for URSSAF and tax (12 and 8%) and 20% VAT so another €4
If you buy for €10 and resell for €20, you now give 40% to the state, which is €8
So you buy for €10, resell for €20, you earn €2 net
Good luck to those who buy from suppliers and on purchase bots, you will be out of the game
Personally, I only buy from flea markets, and I mark up at least x5 or much more, the only drawback is that I don’t have proof of purchase
Good luck, FRANCE is going to collapse and this is only the beginning

Hello everyone,
I still don’t understand Vinted’s logic, they are anticipating something that hasn’t been finalized yet… and even if it is, why block professional sellers who exceed the threshold?
Thank you @sushiwazabi for your explanations via the calculations, it clearly shows that for me, if it goes through, it’s the end… unless I close my micro-business and open under another status, it’s something to think about… Good luck everyone.
There are €2 to recover on the purchase in this example, so it’s €2 of VAT in the end to be paid back. I go through suppliers and at most I will cushion the blow between the recovery on purchases but also various expenses (I’m scrutinizing everything possible to declare). It’s more for the stock built up that it bothers me because there I wouldn’t recover anything.
Afterwards, it may be necessary to look into other company statuses to check if it is indeed profitable to remain a micro-enterprise. In fact, what bothers me the most is the administrative procedures. I was doing everything to stay in micro-enterprise to avoid having to deal with that.
After reading here and there, Vinted isn’t anticipating anything after all; the law lowering the threshold has indeed passed, it’s just suspended until June 1st and is under discussion… What’s emerging and what’s worrying is that Vinted is already setting up a framework for this as if they have the inside scoop that it will remain as is despite the demands (my paranoid side, and I’m not the only one).
I also had micro-entrepreneur status for simplicity; if I have to opt for another status with fixed charges every month like an accountant,… it will be difficult given the profit I’m currently making… it will be a clever calculation
I just realized - because nothing is happening on Vinted so I’m thinking lol - that on @sushiwazabi’s calculation of the €2 profit left, you have to subtract the costs for packaging, gas to drop off the packages… should I laugh or cry?? anyway, I’m stopping thinking
Hello, do you have any news regarding this subject? I have been in the same situation for over 2 months now, I send emails almost every day but they don’t even bother to reply anymore…
They didn’t take into account that it was suspended as a measure?
Otherwise, why not simply ask for an intra-community VAT number? It’s done quickly and would allow you to make purchases from European sites for professionals if you ever need them.
Hello, after a day the site gave me the opportunity to enter my VAT number. And once it was registered, because I’ve had it from the beginning, I just hadn’t registered it beforehand on my Vinted account, it took another good half day for them to validate the VAT number and for me to be unblocked. In fact, it’s just that the site wasn’t updating correctly, but it’s Vinted, that doesn’t surprise me. On the other hand, after 2 months, it’s surprising, normally you have quick access to the field to enter the VAT number. And then they check and validate.
Yes, I’ve already had to send about fifty emails explaining it to them each time with screenshots, but nothing works. I only receive automatic replies, I’m convinced the problem isn’t being addressed on their end. When I enter my VAT number and click save, there’s a very quick loading animation and then nothing happens.
