PRO: Amount paid does not match my item's price

Hello everyone,
I recently created a Vinted Pro account. I’ve had a few completed sales. However, Vinted is refunding me more than the displayed selling price.
E.g.: my first sale was for €11. I received €11.50 from Vinted. Another for €11 as well, amount refunded: €11.48. And this with every sale.
I’ve tried to find out why, but found nothing.
Does anyone know more about this?
How should I declare it? (I am a micro-enterprise)

Hello!

Yes, this corresponds to the amount of VAT to be paid back later

Thank you for this answer.
I don’t understand: on the one hand, I am not subject to VAT, so I have never had to pay VAT (one of the big advantages for me of the micro-enterprise) and I am faaaaar from the VAT threshold.
On the other hand, what rate would the amount correspond to? A variable rate? Since one time I have 48 cents more, another time 50 cents more. On an item at €149, I should receive €149.50…

You would have to ask the pros on the forum, I don’t know the calculation details well enough.

Maybe @Gametoysretro or @Yestoyday can help you?

In fact, it’s the French VAT that Vinted has to pay on shipping costs, but since they are abroad, they pay it to us so that we can give it back to the French state on their behalf. Basically, we are VAT collectors. This has nothing to do with the VAT for which we are exempt. You need to request an intra-community VAT number from the tax authorities and collect all these small cents and then return them to the tax authorities every month (of course, they are not ours).
It’s a bit difficult to understand at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s the same every month.
However, I don’t declare them to Urssaf in my turnover since I consider myself only an intermediary in this case.
I hope I was able to shed some light on it for you.

To verify, you can take the shipping cost from one of your sales and you will see that the extra cents collected correspond to 20% of that amount.
And when the transport is carried out by Colissimo, there are none because Colissimo, being a French company, must self-assess its VAT directly, I imagine.

The problem is that depending on who contacts them, the tax authorities give different answers, and they often say not to do the upload and to declare it in the turnover with Urssaf. On the Vinted sellers’ group on FB, everyone gets different answers.

That’s true. It’s like the eternal question of « should we declare shipping costs or not? »

Thank you very much for these very clear explanations!
However, after calculation, the amounts overpaid do not correspond to 20% of the shipping costs…
EX: sale at €11. €11.50 paid by Vinted, on shipping costs of €2.99. VAT = €0.598. And it’s the same on my other sales.
It’s crazy that Vinted doesn’t explain everything correctly (I think I’ve gone through all their terms and conditions + help… found nothing!).
Last question: to upload this VAT, should I do it on my professional tax account? Section « pay », then « VAT »?

This is how I do it. Then I calculate the total sum of cents * 20/100 and put it in cells A3 and B8, and the amount to pay is correct.
Then I followed advice like yours on forums. But at least they won’t be able to say I didn’t give them back.
