PRO: Account blocked for VAT threshold reached

and your account is blocked, you cannot access any of your settings, is that right?

Hello, I’ve been in the same situation for 2 months.
I’ve sent them hundreds of messages, but there’s never a response about the real problem.
Okay, the VAT threshold has been exceeded.
I have a VAT number that I obtained after 15 days.
I keep telling them that all that’s left is for them to add it for me because, like you, I click on validate and nothing happens.
I wonder if there’s another issue besides this one, and since we get no response

No, nothing at all, no progress in 2 months

Since the repeal of VAT at 25k. Is the threshold on Vinted still 25k? I think I’m approaching this threshold, so I don’t know if I should apply for a VAT number or if I risk being blocked if I reach 86k one day?

Once the threshold is reached, you will need to register for VAT and provide us with your VAT number to continue selling without interruption. This measure ensures compliance with local tax regulations.

:white_check_mark: To avoid any disruption to your sales activities, we recommend adding your VAT number now. You can easily do this in your account settings: Rejoins le mouvement de la seconde main et vends sans frais ! | Vinted

:open_book: To learn more about your VAT obligations, you can consult our Help Center: Quelles sont tes obligations en matiĂšre de TVA ? | Vinted
You can find more information on the processing of personal data here: Politique de confidentialitĂ© | Comment Vinted gĂšre et protĂšge tes donnĂ©es ? | Vinted

:warning: If you wish to know the specific tax thresholds in your country, please contact your local tax authorities.

Have a nice day,

it has not yet been repealed. The text must also go through the Senate, I believe it is scheduled for the start of the school year. And in the (quite unlikely) event that the Senate votes differently, it would have to go back to the Assembly for a second reading.

After Vinted is still wonderful. There are tons of people who are doing a lot of black market business, professionals who are on personal accounts to escape the drawbacks (but also certain legal obligations) and they play the pseudo tax controller with well-registered professionals.

Okay, VAT rates will decrease, but nothing has been voted on yet.
You just need to obtain your VAT number from the tax authorities, and between what Vinted declares and what you declare to URSSAF, it’s not necessarily the same thing, so you’re not necessarily liable for VAT.

But when you have your VAT number, you just have to put it on the app, but it doesn’t work, and the question is how to do it. Has anyone managed to resolve the situation?

Hello,

When in doubt, I applied for a VAT number, just in case Vinted blocks me, but I received this response:

Hello,

You wish to obtain an intra-community VAT number.

You currently benefit from the VAT exemption scheme. Thus, you are exempt from the application and payment of VAT and you have no VAT reporting obligations. Correspondingly, you cannot deduct the VAT related to goods and services acquired for your business. If your turnover does not exceed the VAT exemption thresholds, but you carry out certain operations (intra-community acquisitions of more than €10,000, imports), you may request, under certain conditions, the allocation of an intra-community VAT number. This involves remaining under the basic exemption scheme, and adding a derogation VAT scheme, without however being able to deduct it from your purchases. If this is your case, you will find attached a form to complete and return to us via your secure messaging.

request an intra-community VAT number by saying that you need to make purchases from European suppliers, it’s settled in 48 hours.
And who knows, maybe one day it will actually be useful to you.

that’s bullshit or poorly worded, even below that it’s needed, no supplier will sell without this number. On the other hand, upon registration there is a threshold of €10,000 which, if below, allows you not to have to make declarations. It is up to the seller to invoice directly.

Hello,
I am a micro-entrepreneur with SIRET number, exempt from VAT, registered since
In the context of my intra-EU purchase/sale transactions, I wish to obtain an intra-EU VAT number without giving up the VAT exemption.
Please proceed with the allocation of this number.
I wish to keep the VAT exemption and only request the activation of the number for intra-EU transactions.

I sent them this.

So if we assume you make €10,000 in sales outside of France, do you have to declare it? For VAT?

yes that’s it
Personally, I even made it simpler with something like: « Hello, I would need a VAT number to make purchases from European suppliers, regards Â»
Normally they should send you a form to fill out and that’s it.

quick question: but have you already reached €10,000 excluding tax? If so, how did you declare it because from what I’ve seen, we are liable for VAT in each country concerned once this amount is exceeded

This is what I sent them and I sent you their response, but I also got a PDF, so I imagine that’s what needs to be filled out

I didn’t get the same form but it works too. We had it at the same time with another seller I know and we each got a different form.

Hello, I am new to entrepreneurship and it’s not always easy!! Who should I ask for my INTRA-COMMUNITY VAT number please? thank you

At the tax office, on the professional site, you go to your messaging to write them an email, and there is a drop-down menu to choose the reason, and there is an item like « request a VAT number Â».
