Lost package and Vinted ghosting

Hello, please be careful right now, I’m getting a lot of negative feedback about Mondial Relay, which is a disaster, lost packages, damaged packages, in short, like every year. That’s why I stop buying when it’s vacation time because I see this. I saw on a forum that there are transport problems, I don’t buy during vacations or at the end of the year holidays, always problems between the carriers who throw packages around or packages that end up 30 kilometers away. Then I would say at least they take precautions and see if their relay point is open and inquire, definitely don’t buy when the relay point is closed, you shouldn’t be stupid, especially.

Hello Lucile,

I’m in the same situation, I sent a package a week ago via my Mondial Relay pickup point. The package was picked up (scanned) but since then I have had no tracking updates. This is not normal, it seems my shipment is lost or has been stolen.

I contacted Mondial Relay via their form on Saturday, and I am waiting for a response.
I also informed the buyer who is very understanding.

A few years ago, this happened to me and it did eventually get resolved.

But what happens if my shipment is now truly lost?
Vinted indicates that delivery is taking longer than expected.
Is this mentioned refund for me or for the buyer?
Thank you in advance for your response

Hello!

The refund is also for the seller. This happens to me from time to time as well… the unpredictability of carriers. Unfortunately, there will always be some  but in my opinion, it’s impossible to do anything about it.
You have to wait until the deadline and from then on, contact support regularly (Vinted and the carrier concerned).

I bought a small parcel item, but the seller already packed it carelessly, not according to regulations, and I found the parcel damaged, but luckily the item is perfect. But there we are, we already pay for precise shipping, so on top of that, a seller who doesn’t know how to pack properly. It was with Mondial Relay, but be careful. One tells me yes, we work with Vinted, and Mondial tells me we can’t do anything, it’s Vinted’s order, and the dispute was closed very quickly. And Vinted tells me since I had taken proof that it wasn’t just about managing it and they kicked me out. So FEVAD, okay, said nothing, but now I am only a seller, which is different in my profession, and they take people for idiots. FEVAD says we do nothing, repression is a joke, huh, no comment. In 2 seconds, like Vinted, and the professionals on Shein or Temu, triple the price, great, we love it. On the other hand, I am in private life, I also sell. On the other hand, when I act, and precisely FEVAD and legal, they are incompetent, but repression and SignalConso, don’t worry about the Vinted seller’s negligence because she also has to learn to read the general terms and conditions. It’s non-compliant dimensions, and she insulted me well. She got the final bouquet: account permanently closed for fraud. So I think we panic a lot of you who buy on Shein and Temu and resell for triple the price. So I am currently a seller and buyer, but this platform is primarily for second-hand items, and Vinted is going off the rails. Mondial Relay, to have precisely cheated with Vinted, a gift, a fine.

My parcel lost as a seller, refund 25 euros, I sold a large Hermès scarf, sent for inspection by Vinted, but when they send it back after compliance there is no guarantee either, plus the buyer has to confirm it matches, so I was surprised too

It’s really sad and I’m sincerely sorry for you. I’ve also experienced several cases. To ban and to flee!!!

Hello, the package is insured up to 500 euros via the verification service. If you haven’t had a favorable outcome under these conditions, you must insist. An Hermès scarf is not insignificant. That said, my experience has led me to stop sending items over €25 with Mondial Relay. UPS covers up to €65. Vinted Go also covers €500, but you must prove the package was dropped off (if the locker malfunctioned, it’s lost). In summary, I use Colissimo as much as possible. And Vestiaire Collective for high-end or luxury items. Be careful with leather clothing too. They are noticed by delivery drivers. If the buyer has no other choice than Mondial Relay (I have removed Chronopost, which was a hundred times worse), I prefer not to make the sale.

A new development: a buyer claims their VintedGo locker was empty, but they saw the person just before them open a whole series of lockers to retrieve many packages at once.

If this is true (and indeed, it could be), it seems someone obtained the delivery person’s code to quietly open an entire locker bank.
