I immediately reported the dispute to Vinted, who replied that I had to wait 25 days. The package was visible in the 34 (department code for Hérault) while I live in the 06 (department code for Alpes-Maritimes). They sent me a message on the app without warning me to fill out a form, for which I received no notification and therefore could not fill out, and 3 days later they refunded the seller even though I still haven’t received my package. I find the dispute resolution deplorable, the tracking incorrect. I reported the wrong destination of the package from the start, which was indeed the case and could be seen on the app, and that for this reason they should make the claim with the carrier themselves. It is not normal to be debited €35 without any alert whatsoever by email, and for Vinted to tell me that it is too late to make a claim when I made it from the beginning. It was for a birthday and I had to reorder the product urgently. Given people’s good faith, there should be a process to refund the buyer who has not received their package. Currently, the app doesn’t even allow you to know where the package has arrived. I truly believe the package was diverted, and if Vinted doesn’t do better, it will have consequences later on. I sincerely hope another app will emerge so that they consider their customers better.
At my place, most lockers are unavailable, so my package was delivered an hour away.
I filed a complaint with Mondial R, and the response was: if you can’t pick up the package, ask someone to go get it. Of course, I’ll ask someone to drive 80 km round trip to pick up an item that I can find in quantity on Vinted, or maybe I should pay for a taxi!! Ridiculous. I feel sorry for the seller, of course. It’s pathetic.
