Like many, I’ve just experienced the infamous abusive blocking in the form of blackmail: Go Pro or disappear.
It’s truly frustrating and absurd, and I’ve noticed that many members of the community have had similar experiences.
To give you some context: about a month ago, I had a temporary one-month restriction for « fraudulent activities » (completely erroneous, I haven’t done anything of the sort). I tried to defend myself through support, but it was no use. And before that, last November and December, I was already blocked twice! At the time, after dozens of insistent messages, they finally apologized by email, admitting it was their mistake (I have proof of the apology email). This makes me think my account has been the victim of mass slanderous reports, and I’ve seen that this happens to quite a few people here, knowing that Vinted’s AI doesn’t help at all because it validates these raids without checking.
Since the permanent ban, I haven’t stopped sending messages to support (over 70 to date, and I continue daily!). I’m highlighting the past error they admitted, the abusive reports, and the fact that I’m not a pro and have no intention of being one. I’ve even contacted high-ranking individuals whose contacts are in another thread, but still no positive response… The most absurd thing is that I have a temporary restriction ending tomorrow, but since I’m also permanently blocked, I have intermittent access: for example, I can sometimes leave a review or see information about an order before the blocking screen appears. It’s completely inconsistent to be both restricted and blocked at the same time…
Going Pro is not an option for me: the fees are absurd, it’s not my goal at all, and I don’t have that kind of developed activity. So, I think this account is dead, but I don’t want to give up without trying everything. Have you ever experienced this? How did you manage to unblock your account?
