Vinted block: Any solutions?

Hello everyone,

I already created a topic with the various updates regarding my Vinted account being blocked for suspected counterfeiting, when that is not the case…

Despite the available recourse options, such as appealing on the Vinted app, SignalConso (DGCCRF), several emails sent to various addresses (including those of executives), the FEVAD… nothing has worked.

For months, I’ve taken the time to watch many videos about Vinted and read comments: many people are in the same boat! Some say they managed to get unblocked by spamming emails until one day Vinted gave in. Others succeeded with SignalConso, some with FEVAD, and others, like you and me, have obtained nothing positive.

The only two things I haven’t tried yet are the CNIL or changing my phone, number, IP address… But a large majority of people who have contacted the CNIL have received negative responses, so Vinted remains strong even against external bodies. Others explain that data is automatically deleted after 6 months and that we become « unknown » to Vinted after this period, without going through the CNIL (which seems too good to be true?).

Have any of you managed to get unblocked? Have you managed to create new Vinted accounts after a block?

I don’t know if it’s essential to get a new IBAN, a new phone, a new number, etc., or if a VPN would be sufficient, for example. Do you have any tips for this kind of situation? Any feedback from your experiences? I’m honestly starting to lose hope… I can’t see myself making hundreds, or even thousands, of listings by going to friends’, using a relative’s ID, or an external connection from my home for months…

Vinted is really cold and inconsistent with its users. Their terms and conditions contradict each other and this creates endless problems for us, loyal customers for years. It’s deplorable and unfair

I am reposting information from another thread:
According to a reliable source ( = Vinted’s terms and conditions, which I have read several times), account deletion occurs after 6 months.
It seems that sometimes Vinted does not apply this time limit… But that’s another topic.
Some people on the forum waited 6 months to recreate a wardrobe. :slightly_smiling_face:

Does this mean I could recreate a Vinted account from scratch, with the same first and last name, IBAN, phone number, phone, as well as IP address?

I thought only the CNIL could resolve this, some people claim that even with the CNIL they couldn’t recreate accounts :confused:

No need to wait 6 months, a new phone or an old one factory reset, a free account from a neobank for the IBAN and a €2 plan for the new number and by connecting to wifi it works without any problem.

From personal experience, I can confirm that even after 7 months, Vinted still has your information. Granted, when you want to log in, it will say « account deleted »

But if you send an email to Vinted with the email of the blocked account to download your data, you will see that they have kept everything :sweat_smile:

Personally, I recreated an account about 3 months after my old one was blocked. I first created it via computer. So a new email address.

Via phone, I had deleted the app data, uninstalled the application, and restarted my phone before logging in with the new account.

The phone number is my boyfriend’s.

For the IBAN, I tried to re-enter the one from my blocked account, but it didn’t work. So I put my boyfriend’s as well :sweat_smile:

So the best approach for a new account is to do it with a new identity.

Because the day they ask for your ID card (Vinted hasn’t asked me for it yet), the name on the ID and the name on the bank account must be the same now.

Hi

I asked for the deletion of data from a banned account: they replied with a whole novel, but within all this literature was an important piece of information. They keep whatever information they want when an account is banned permanently.

So the best thing to do is as advised above.
