Vinted account suspended after hacking and blocked identity verification

Hello, I would like to know if anyone has already experienced this situation with Vinted because I am completely stuck.

I was just starting to sell on Vinted when my account was hacked. Someone was impersonating Vinted customer service and trying to get my bank details. As I realized it was a scam and refused to give my bank details, this person kept logging me out of my Vinted account.

So I contacted Vinted myself to report that it wasn’t me and to request that the account be blocked for security. Since then, my account has been suspended.

The problem now is that Vinted is asking me for identity verification with:

  • a bank statement,

  • my name,

  • my RIB (bank account details),

  • and proof of the last Vinted transaction with the date.

I have sent the documents at least ten times, but nothing is progressing and I remain stuck at the verification stage. I have money in my Vinted wallet that I would like to retrieve, but I cannot get my application validated.

Has anyone ever managed to resolve a situation like this? How long did it take and what worked?

Hello

I experienced the same situation except that my account had been hacked and Vinted had blocked it…

The requested documents were the same

I had to fight for about 3 months, between crossed messages and resending documents to regain access to my account

So the only advice I can give you is to provide exactly what they ask for and be patient… at least until they process the current message… then send a new one later to shake them up…

I corresponded with them via their legal email @ vinted. Fr… and they (completely off the mark) replied to me on my Vinted inbox… even though I no longer had access to it… anyway

A long road awaits you but courage

My question: How can people manage to hack someone else’s Vinted accounts?

Hello

How they manage to hack your inboxes and other… through data leaks

In my case, it was Vinted that was hacked, from there, user accounts were subsequently compromised…

It can be just as easy for them to hack into mailboxes where they find a lot of useful information for their work

Recently, a government website was hacked, and the recovered data allows access to other accounts and so on

Hello,

It’s also been a while that we’ve been playing cat and mouse, and it’s starting to take too long.

I’m not sure I’ll get my money back, and I find it very frustrating and unfair not to be able to get what is owed to me.

We can’t even file a complaint to move things forward or anything.

I see that many of us are having almost the same problems.

I will continue to do what he asks me to.

Thank you very much for your help.

To be honest with you, I have no idea, but I can confirm that he had access to my Vinted account, and luckily for me, the money in my wallet was pending before it was blocked by Vinted.

They are more cunning than we think, and be careful too, because this can very quickly concern you.

Indeed, he also had access to my email inbox and my bank account!

For my part, there was no money on it, but that didn’t make it any less of a problem to see my account blocked… Keep at it and good luck :slightly_smiling_face:

And if you haven’t already, think about your passwords for other sites just in case…

To know that after my Vinted account was hacked, I also suffered another hack on a much more important site and there they had changed everything, even created a bank account in my name… Be careful
