Permanent ban due to an advertisement

Hello everyone,

I’m in a situation quite similar to many of you, namely a ban, and I’m trying to find out if anyone has managed to recover their account after a permanent suspension.

I’ve been using Vinted for about 6 years, with a personal account rated 5 stars and no history of fraud or serious issues.

So I’m not a professional seller, just a mom cleaning out her house

After a long period of inactivity, I recently started selling my children’s things as they were growing out of them and maternity items I no longer used.

I was first temporarily blocked last month after listing a fetal Doppler for sale. I had no idea that this type of device was prohibited on Vinted.

I had actually bought it myself on Vinted before, and I just saw it as a small device for expectant mothers to listen to their baby’s heartbeat at home.

Then, the day before yesterday, I listed a Nanny Care baby breathing monitor for sale, and this time my account was permanently blocked. Banned.

In retrospect, I did some research online and discovered that the manufacturer classifies it as a medical device - even though, again, I saw it more in the same category as a baby scale, a baby monitor, or other common nursery accessories, given that it’s sold in baby stores, in the same aisle as baby monitors…

So I understand that Vinted might prohibit this product.

What I contest is the permanent and disproportionate nature of the sanction for an error I made in good faith.

What seems particularly incomprehensible to me is that when I created the listing, Vinted itself offered me three price indications (‹ Bargain ›, ‹ Ideal price ›, ‹ Premium ›), and I saw many identical or similar listings.

A friend even sent me a screenshot of a Nanny Care that was currently BOOSTED on Vinted!

I never tried to hide the product or circumvent the rules. If I had known it was prohibited, I obviously wouldn’t have listed it.

I have contested the decision with Vinted and contacted their legal department, but they have so far maintained the permanent ban.

Today, support tells me I can make a claim via a link in the blocking message… except I have no claim link in my message and therefore cannot even access this procedure. I have also made an official report to an organization called SignalConso.

I never want to sell this type of product on Vinted again. I would simply like to get my old account back to continue selling my children’s clothes and personal items.

Has anyone here ever managed to recover an account after a permanent ban? And if so, what ultimately worked?

Thank you
