Article "lost" found for sale on another seller's profile

Hello,

A short while ago, one of my sold items was lost by Mondial Relay. The transaction was refunded by Vinted, and on the very same day (!), I found my item listed for sale on another professional seller’s profile. I have objective evidence that makes me 99% sure that this item is indeed mine. I wanted to know if this has ever happened to anyone else? I have the feeling my package was stolen.

Hello,
I’ve read about some adventures on Vinted  but this one… never before!

So, believe it or not, I had something similar happen, but in the other direction.

I received a notification that my package was available at the pickup point, but I had no ongoing orders and no returns on my sales initiated. Okay, I thought, it must be a package that wasn’t picked up. So I took the package, opened it, and surprise, there were things I’d never seen before. Then I looked at the label, nothing to do with me, but there was a Mondial Relay sticker on it, directing it back to my name. And after a while, I turned the package over and then I understood; someone had reused a box from one of my shipments but hadn’t removed the label I had put on it, so that’s the one that was scanned. But then, it was impossible to find out who it was, probably an old sale, and after a while I gave up (I’m not going to spend entire days sifting through all my sales to find the seller). For now, I’ve put it aside in case someone claims it. But then, yes, after a while, I’ll just get rid of it.

There remains a very small probability that your package was resold by lost package specialists, and that the lucky winner rushed to put the contents up for sale…

Hello, I had the same misfortune and unfortunately I couldn’t do anything, I contacted the profile concerned who did not answer me and blocked me directly, Vinted never provided me with a solution because the transaction was already automatically finalized, I was never compensated nor did I receive a response from the carrier at the time it was with Relais Colis.

Don’t forget that with all the flights in the territory, there must be several hundred shady delivery drivers, and you’re not going to tell me they store all their findings at home. Some resell them on LBC, but for more discretion outside the local area, they are put on sale on Vinted, so nothing really surprising.

I had a similar reaction upon stumbling upon the article….

Hello, could you tell me (privately if you prefer) the profile of the person you suspect? Maybe we are talking about the same one

I thought about it, but the seller claims to resell items bought at auction. Except that 2 weeks passed between the time the item was lost and the time he posted it… 2 weeks is far too short for an item to be posted at auction.

I hadn’t thought of that possibility, and indeed it remains probable. Except that the seller claims to have bought the property at auction…
