Disputed item, return requested by seller but they are not picking it up

I bought a pair of trousers that the seller stated were size 40. She also indicated that they were new without tags. When I tried them on, I found that they were much too big, there was a used handkerchief in the pocket, and the color was uneven. I checked the size label, it was a 42 and not a 40, and it was clearly not new since there was a handkerchief in the pocket and the color showed that it had been washed and ironed often. I opened a dispute, the seller wanted the item returned without covering the return shipping costs, so I paid for the return. And now, the seller is not collecting the item which has been at a pickup point for 5 days and will therefore be sent back to me. How can I get out of this situation? I don’t think it’s fair to have been deceived about the item, to pay for return shipping, and on top of that, to have to retrieve trousers that don’t fit me and that I will never be able to resell at the price I paid for them. How can I get buyer protection involved? I don’t see anything on my account indicating this. Thank you for your help.

You can contact support via the dispute by requesting your refund with photos of the tracking that states the package is available

Thank you for your response. I have filled out a dispute form after making another attempt to settle with the seller, who is not responding to me (apparently a usual behavior for her).

In the event that the seller does not pick up the item returned on Vinted, you are refunded and you also get the item back.
So the item is now yours, you are free to do with it as you please.
