I sold new high heels worth 90 euros to someone named « paticiaf1968 » on Vinted. She ruined the heels to be able to file a dispute. Seeing the photos and not recognizing my shoes, which were new, I refused the dispute and the return. But Vinted did nothing, asking me for proof. I sent them the photos again, and Vinted still did nothing. I don’t understand; this is theft, and Vinted allows it. I was therefore robbed of an item worth 90 euros. Please give me some advice.
At the same time, your buyer destroyed the pumps…
I think the best solution in this kind of situation is to request a return of the item. On the one hand, it’s the buyer’s responsibility, and on the other hand, you get the item back and can resell it.
But if you refused the return, you’ll have to rely on Vinted’s arbitration, which will generally favor the customer over the seller.
The problem is that I did not validate the dispute, which would have at least allowed me to get the heels back. Since I did not validate the dispute, Vinted has now canceled the return and refunded it. I provided photographic proof of my new heels, and Vinted replied that they do not have sufficient proof… In short, it’s completely nonsensical… I asked them if they could ask the buyer to return the item, but I don’t think so because if she was capable of damaging them, I don’t think she’ll bother returning them at her own expense.
Hello!
Precisely, if the buyer does not have the ability to make a return, the transaction is validated in your favor.
She blocked me on Vinted even though I’m asking for a refund since she got her money back. What can I do? Thank you.
I gave her my postal address for the return but she blocked me. What can I do? Thank you.
hello - I had the same problem - beautiful designer shoes, brand name, worn once or twice at most. First a big negotiation. Okay, they’ve been online for a while.
Before posting, I check one last time and take the trouble to clean the calfskin with an eraser to make sure they are impeccable. Result: I receive photos with stained leather that doesn’t look at all like what I sent. I decided to let it go and so she was refunded. A matter of mental health. I’m not going to fight to ultimately lose. A photo with stains (easy to do with AI) and Vinted wouldn’t be able to decide and would rule in favor of the buyer - it’s always like that.
The problem here is that the transaction is canceled and therefore we cannot leave a review.
If she blocked you and does not return the item even though you requested it (if done within the dispute time limit), she is in the wrong.
Now that she has blocked you and the dispute is closed, unfortunately… there is not much that can be done.
