Hello, I wanted to buy shoes for my daughter’s birthday. And I saw them much cheaper on Vinted, so I took the risk of ordering them even though the seller had no reviews.

Except that afterwards, I saw that the seller had others for sale in different sizes but with the same photos. And when I pointed it out to her, she blocked me. I’m afraid to pick up the package and find that it’s not the right product inside. And since it’s €88, that’s quite a lot.

Will I be refunded if I don’t pick up the package?

As @personaewardrobe told you, you will be refunded if you do not collect the package.

You should perhaps send a message to Vinted to tell them that you suspect a counterfeit and that you will not collect the package. Furthermore, it is impossible to exchange with the buyer since she blocked you :confused:, this does not seem very honest…

I sent a message to Vinted but they are responding with generic questions (automatic message) « if you have a problem, open a dispute etc… ».

This happened to me in a dispute where the person blocked (and the transaction wasn’t finalized). Which is a shame for them since it prevented me from sending them the return procedure (justified in absolute terms, but the person was so pleasant that I didn’t particularly want to make extra effort) and the sale was finalized.

She has indeed blocked me. I can send messages that she doesn’t read, but I no longer have access to her account and it says blocked.

It seems to me that she is blocked by Vinted.

The person is blocked by Vinted. They no longer have access to their messages and transactions. You have the option to retrieve the package, open a dispute, and get a refund because the seller will not be able to respond.
Feel free to then give the pair of shoes, specifying that they are fake.

You can still open a dispute, it’s just that the seller won’t be able to respond. At least they’ll have neither money nor merchandise. That’s all those kinds of people deserve :joy:

Do not collect the package. It will be returned automatically and you will be refunded. Otherwise, you will embark on a complex process without being sure of winning your case.

After having a dispute during my block (although it was not justified at all, luckily it was just a 1€ fabric pouch)

The buyer kept the item in addition to being refunded :upside_down_face:

There can still be an element of chance in keeping the item. And nothing guarantees that the seller will remain blocked (their account is not banned, just blocked). Not collecting the package is the surest way to be refunded and not have to pay return costs (because if the seller requests them, there is no choice but to accept).
