Vinted Pro: €577.64 blocked after 11 identity verifications and 6 months of waiting

I want to share my experience with Vinted Pro and Mangopay, and especially to know if others are currently in the same situation.

I have a Vinted Pro account for my Apsara Market business.

Today, €577.64 from my sales are blocked in my Vinted account and I cannot transfer this money to my bank account due to an identity/KYB verification issue.

Initially, I naturally followed the verification requests by providing the requested documents.

The problem is that after reviewing my entire history, I just realized that I have performed 11 different identity verification procedures over the last six months.

Eleven.

And none of them definitively resolved the issue.

The latest response from Vinted indicates that my beneficial owner (UBO) declaration was rejected by their payment provider Mangopay because the information provided could not be verified.

However, I am perfectly willing to provide all necessary supporting documents and I have been asking for months to be explained which specific information is incorrect or which specific document is missing.

Instead, I am regularly redirected to a new verification procedure that again ends up failing.

After 11 attempts in six months, it seems difficult to consider that a twelfth identical attempt would be a solution.

In the meantime, €577.64 corresponding to sales made remain unavailable.

I have therefore decided not to content myself with endlessly repeating the same verifications.

I have just submitted an official complaint to Mangopay as well as a formal complaint to Vinted Pro, requesting:

  • a manual verification of my file;

  • the exact identification of the UBO information causing the problem;

  • the possible correction of the recorded data;

  • and the release of my €577.64 as soon as the regulatory obligations have been met.

I will now keep all exchanges, screenshots, verification attempts, and responses received to build a complete file.

I am sharing my experience here because I discovered that I am clearly far from being the only one encountering identity verification problems with unavailable funds.

If you are or have been in exactly this situation, I would be very interested to know:

  • how much money was blocked;

  • for how long;

  • how many verifications you had performed;

  • if Vinted or Mangopay eventually intervened manually;

  • and especially what specific action allowed you to recover your money.

I will also update this post if Vinted or Mangopay resolves my case, so that my testimony also reflects the resolution of the problem if it occurs.

For now, the facts are as follows:

11 verifications in 6 months.
€577.64 currently blocked.
KYB/UBO verification still unresolved.

I now hope to obtain a real human intervention and a concrete solution.

Good evening,

I had a KYC verification problem initially when I created my professional account.

I started receiving funds but not much… around 2,300 euros. I could post, but the identity verification kept failing on Mangopay’s side. Upon investigating, I realized there was an inversion of the last name and first name between the legal representative’s name on Vinted and on the KBIS (last name - first name on Vinted and first name - last name on the KBIS). I had to ask Vinted to do the necessary to reverse it because the field was grayed out, and I couldn’t modify it myself.

As soon as they made the change, the KYC was okay on Mangopay’s side. Have you compared the KBIS details with what is indicated in the Vinted profile? Otherwise, that could be the issue… If so, explain the situation to Vinted (name/first name inversion and Mangopay rejection) because I think it could help speed up the process…

By chance, I only stayed for 3-4 weeks, and I sold little (for your information, coincidentally or not, I was very, very poorly visible, and my visibility accelerated as soon as the problem was resolved…

Hello and thank you very much for your response.

Just like you, I was also able to make a few small withdrawals at the very beginning, but for very limited amounts.

And from one day to the next, I apparently reached the threshold and was told that the rest of the available sum was blocked pending identity verification.

You already know what happened next.

After verification, I don’t have a problem with reversed first/last names like you do, but no matter what they ask for and what I provide, there’s always something that isn’t satisfactory, it’s enough to drive you mad.

I have repeatedly asked to speak to someone and to be clearly explained what is wrong, but I never get an answer.

This is where I am.

Hello,

I am currently in the same situation as you with 3000 euros blocked in my Vinted wallet.

After more than ten attempts, still nothing.

I contacted Vinted via support but they only tell me that my case is still under review by MangoPay and that they will keep me informed. I also sent an email to vinted@vinted.fr and legal@vinted.fr but again nothing conclusive, they even replied that the dispute had been resolved and the case was closed, which is false.

I also filed a report with the DGCCRF and requested a mediator, but for now, nothing.

This is really ridiculous, I don’t know what to do anymore.

Hello,

It’s sad, but seeing the testimonials online, I realize that many of us are in this situation and that it is not resolved for everyone.

I hope we will eventually get there.

I will obviously keep you informed of the progress of things.

On my end, I will also report this to the fraud repression.

Good luck to you
