Thank you! Fingers crossed it works! Have you also been asked for a screenshot?

No, nothing has been asked of me for the moment.

Message sent to Vinted, yes it would be annoying at least 50% of my sales are due to messages + discount

I sent an email about the favorites and Vinted replied exactly this: Thank you for letting me know! I’m sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue on Vinted.

Good news: our technical team is aware of the problem and a fix is in progress! :hammer_and_wrench: We hope everything will be working well again very soon.

Have a great day!

I think all these emails are starting to have an effect

Oh great! Thanks for the info.
I hope this isn’t just a canned response… We’ll test in a few days to see if it has improved.

I hope so too because I think we are hundreds of people for whom fav follow-ups make up more than half of our sales, we will lose but they will too, so we’ll see :crossed_fingers:strength to us :flexed_biceps:t3:

And talk about it on Facebook Vinted groups, without mentioning clemz of course.
So that they also send messages.
Well, there are always people against messages, so fav… but oh well

Hello!
I’m back from vacation and unfortunately, bad news!
This is a real problem, I rely heavily on messages to favorites to make offers, which trigger sales… I’m going to email Vinted and send it several days in a row :upside_down_face:
I’ll keep you updated on their response

Thank you very much Sev!

@Allie yes, it’s true that it’s possible to talk about it on Facebook groups related to Vinted. On our side, we don’t know many… But if you know several or if you know the admins… don’t hesitate to spread the word. Everyone will be impacted…

It’s not great… But unlike the vinties in the post, the majority of my sales are spontaneous purchases unrelated to my dozens of daily manual messages

Hello,
I have the support response which is the same as @Clem1

I also hope it’s not an automatic response, I’ll send another email tomorrow to see if the response is the same :upside_down_face:

Have a good evening!

Great, thanks Sev for this tenacity :folded_hands:

Hello, I keep getting the same response from Vinted so maybe it really is a bug…
And this morning I tested the app and was able to send 26 messages « manually » to favorites.
@leadie91 have you noticed any improvement on your end as well?
To be continued…

Have a nice day!

Hello,

I have drafted an email that everyone could send/modify.

What do you think?

:envelope: Email to Vinted

Subject: Limitation of offers sent to favorites – negative impact for sellers and for Vinted

Hello,

I am writing to you regarding the new restriction on sending offers to buyers who have favorited an item, now limited to 20 per hour.

As an active seller on Vinted for several years, I can attest to the effectiveness of this feature:

  • It allows many favorites to be converted into actual sales.
  • It directly contributes to buyer satisfaction, as they feel valued by a personalized offer.
  • It mechanically generates more transactions… and therefore more commissions for Vinted.

The new limit of 20 sends per hour significantly reduces our ability to close sales. This measure is therefore unfavorable:

  • For sellers, who see their volumes decrease.
  • But also for Vinted, which receives less service fees for each missed transaction.

I understand the objective of regulation and balance on the platform, but this restriction is too restrictive. It has a counterproductive effect on both our business and your revenue.

I therefore invite you to reconsider this limitation, or to propose a more flexible alternative (for example, a daily quota adapted to the volume of items offered by each seller).

I remain at your disposal to discuss the subject and share my field experience in order to improve the Vinted experience together.

Sincerely,

[First Name Last Name]

Thank you for your contribution @anon90966608!

It would be better if everyone could send a personal message rather than a copy-paste that risks being quickly spotted and will therefore be less impactful (or even considered spam).

However, everyone can personalize the message you propose by rephrasing it in their own way. This provides a good basis for knowing what to say.

A small detail, to be precise: the limitation is on the reading of favorite notifications (not directly on sending messages).
You cannot read more than 20 favorite notifications per hour (even manually), and after this time, it’s impossible to contact the buyer via the notification…

Thank you for the clarification, I will modify the email.

If I understand correctly, if we have, for example, 30 notifications per hour, and not necessarily favorite messages. (A notification can be about a followed item that has been sold, for example). We can only see 20 per hour? So, if we receive, for example, 500 in a day, and we are limited to 24 x 20, which is 480. We can’t see them all?!

Email base adapted.

Hello,

I wish to draw your attention to the new restriction that limits the reading of favorite notifications to 20 per hour.

Specifically, this limit makes it impossible to view all favorites and therefore blocks the ability to make a personalized offer to many buyers.

As an active seller on Vinted, I can confirm that:

  • Offers sent to people who have favorited an item trigger a significant portion of sales.
  • These sales generate satisfaction for buyers, revenue for sellers, and therefore additional service fees for Vinted.

The current restriction therefore has a double negative effect:

  • It reduces our conversion opportunities and therefore our revenue.
  • It mechanically reduces Vinted’s revenue, as each missed transaction is a lost commission.

I understand the desire to regulate intensive use of notifications, but the limit set is too strict. It becomes counterproductive for the entire ecosystem.

I therefore invite you to reconsider this measure, or to propose a more suitable alternative (for example, a daily quota adjusted to the seller’s listing volume).

I remain at your disposal to share my field experience and contribute to improving the Vinted experience together.

No, it’s really the reading of a favorite notification that is counted.
Not other types of notification. And by « reading » I mean « clicking on it ».

Basically, as I detail in my original post, if you click on 20 favorite notifications, you will be redirected 20 times to your messaging where a message opens allowing you to contact the buyer.

But on the 21st, the message no longer opens, and you can no longer contact the buyer via the notification. You then have to wait 1 hour for it to work again.
