Fraudulent seller but not enough to be blocked by Vinted

Hello, first post for me here. I would like your opinion, and possibly your help. I was just contacted by a Vinted user who was the victim of the same fraudulent seller as me. At the time, I let it go, preferring to forget rather than defend myself, and besides, I was the only one with a negative experience on their account. It must be said that the seller in question is very skilled, they know the Vinted dynamics inside out: they send items that do not correspond to the purchase/are defective (cables, hard drives, or memory cards), and offer to send the correct item on the condition that you validate the receipt. They delay things so that the deadlines are exceeded. Then they offer a refund because it’s simpler. (so they ask for IBAN or PayPal account) A refund they never make. Of course, we leave a negative review: (I ended up with the wrong cable, a second one that didn’t work, a defective SD card…) and they leave an even worse, mean, and defamatory one, but always staying within what is allowed on Vinted. Can an unjustified review be removed? Can this person be stopped from operating on Vinted? Can other Vinted users who have been victims be contacted, even if they don’t have any items listed at the moment?

Did you report their account or notify Vinted of these practices?
They are suggesting going off-platform, which is forbidden in Vinted’s terms of use.

If several people report them… they risk getting more than one warning. (given how responsive Vinted is on this subject…)

Hello, thank you for your feedback. I hadn’t reported it until another member messaged me saying they had also been a victim. So I wrote to phishing@vinted yesterday. In fact, this seller manages to twist things around to give the impression that the buyer is at fault, which is why I didn’t react at the time… For the moment, I haven’t had any reaction from Vinted. We are trying to contact other victims to encourage them to report it, but several have no items listed, and therefore we cannot access their messages.

I understand! I hope you win your case despite everything. If 2 people have already reported it… Vinted will probably look into the matter. (When I have only 1 report, within the next 2 days, I get a « response Â»)
