Vinted account permanently blocked

Hello,

I am writing to you because I am starting to lose hope.

I have been selling on Vinted since 2019, but I had a very large volume of activity from 2023 to 2024, and I have over 700 positive reviews, and Vinted has made a lot of money thanks to my account…

I sold a 2024 Olympics t-shirt (official brand), and a buyer had the same model, but theirs was a Coq Sportif. So you know the rest, they are accusing me of counterfeiting, etc.

You know how sellers are treated, so after several contacts, the same messages (automated, it seems) keep coming back. They « think they have good reasons, » except I sent all the proof, photos in stores, conversation with the buyer, the listing that did not mention the Coq Sportif brand at all, the official labels, and nothing, it’s useless.

On March 3rd, I filed a report on SignalConso, and today (March 11th), I received a « response » in my Vinted messages from Vinted that said the exact same thing as the message I received after filing the dispute on the Vinted platform.

I have used AI (GPT) a lot to create a kind of archive with dates, responses, and proof of contact, but today the AI told me to contact a consumer mediator, but it gave me about 7 links, and all of them are no longer available. So I’m coming back to this forum where I spent hours reading similar problems to know what to do…

I’m starting to lose hope, I don’t know what else to do. I haven’t contacted the different email addresses (legal, DPO, etc.) yet…

What do you advise me to do? After SignalConso (which was useless)? What options do I have left?..

Vinted is a major source of income for me, and unfortunately, selling elsewhere seems complicated!!

Have a great day!

Hello,
Before taking any further steps, I would first advise you to contact Vinted’s legal department directly at legal@vinted.com with a clear file (timeline, evidence, photos, exchanges with the buyer).
Messages sent via standard support often go through automated responses, whereas the legal department can sometimes review the case more seriously.
Good luck with your endeavors.

Hello,

Thank you for your response! I did indeed send a group email to several addresses (vinted, privacysupport, dpo, and legal) stating that the next step would be to report the situation via the CNIL and FEVAD.

I also have the email addresses of three executives, so we’ll see…

Thank you!

Hello everyone!

I’m getting back to you with an update. I sent 5 emails to the following addresses:

  • legal @ vinted .fr
  • privacysupport @ vinted .fr
  • dpo @ vinted .fr
  • vinted @ vinted .fr
  • privacysupport @ vinted .com

And… 48 hours after sending the email, where I requested a dispute and a review, I received the same (seemingly automatic) response: they are sticking to their « initial decision. »

So, SignalConso, emails to the 5 email addresses, and disputing twice via the Vinted form have not resolved anything. I still have the emails of senior executives, which I plan to send right away, and then I will contact the FEVAD and CNIL, and if nothing changes, we will go further (court, I suppose).

I don’t see what else I can do. GPT’s AI told me to write a formal notice letter (« mise en demeure ») to the headquarters in Lithuania (I don’t have much faith in that) or to the communication center in Paris. What do you think? I’m losing more and more hope… I keep sending all the proof in PDF files, but nothing works, they don’t want to hear anything! And of course, they are not providing any proof regarding my case.

I will come back here to keep you updated if it can help people in the same difficult situation as me and thousands of others!

Have an excellent day/night everyone.

Hello everyone

Update: I sent 3 emails to Vinted management (sjuul.berden - ginvile.ram - thjis.slijk) on March 16th and never got a response, so a file with a mediator was created yesterday, March 22nd.

I will keep you informed if it can help!

Courage for your approach, if it succeeds it could make them question themselves, it’s all to your credit!

Hello everyone.

Bad news! On April 10th I received two emails and despite what I read on this forum, or even elsewhere on the internet (or even AI) FEVAD could do nothing.

1st email: My request is not « receivable » at first because I would not have sent the contact attempts with the company (??) which is false because I sent everything, screenshots, emails, applications, dgccrf etc…

2nd email: request not receivable because I quote « it does not fall within the scope of the Consumer Mediator since the account closure is under the sole responsibility of the company and its commercial policy, provided that it is recalled in the general terms and conditions of sale or use. »

However, this account closure must not hinder the right of return under reasonable conditions, nor deprive the consumer of the credit balances in the account nor their ability to access past invoices allowing the exercise of any warranties or promised benefits."

I haven’t yet considered a possible response… or what alternatives to take, I’ve already tried everything and Gemini’s AI tells me that going to court will take a lot of energy and time.

I’m willing to create another account if possible, but losing years of Vinted, hundreds of reviews, loyal customers, my favorites, my hundreds of listings… it still hurts. Having stock gathering dust at home, I can’t get rid of it, it’s a handicap!

Have a great day and I hope you find better solutions for everyone!

Best regards,

Thanks for your feedback, have you tried reporting Vinted on SignalConso and then contacting support at legal@vinted.fr, showing them that you reported them?

I have seen several cases resolved like this:

  • One where Vinted directly unbanned a member after the member reported Vinted on SignalConso
  • One where the member was unbanned after contacting Vinted’s legal department, showing that they had initiated a process on SignalConso

Hi!

Already done… In fact, I received an email response from Signalconso with a message from Vinted saying: Hello! Mr.'s case (…) has been carefully analyzed by our team. We have contacted Mr. (…) to inform him that we will re-examine the blocking of his account. Mr. (…) will receive a response from us as soon as possible. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us again. Sincerely!

With its response, the company committed to taking your report into account. It made the following commitment:
I wish to provide usage advice”

Here is the response via Signalconso email. Then, on the Vinted app, I received this message, which I am sending as an image:

And to this day, I no longer have any access, not even to my messages or wallet.

In short… an endless situation!

Is it not possible to resume the discussion with signalconso? Or to file a new report?

I imagine it’s annoying but on the other hand, if that’s the only option…

I didn’t ask myself if I could restart SignalConso… if they themselves gave me that answer, I lost hope! Some on the forum talk about harassing them with emails, but with everything I’ve done, I sincerely wonder if it’s worth anything
