so for me it’s the opposite even if it’s not great but at least it’s moving a little.
Very quiet start to the month on my end too ![]()
Patience, it’s complicated right now, but I’m hopeful it will really take off around November 10th.
Start of the month not great but some sales started coming in yesterday… today no sales but some offers in the evening (pending) quite a few favorites… so I think it’s starting to come in, it’s a good sign
I admit I am astonished by the collapse in transactions that I have been observing for 3 weeks now, especially since it is not limited to Vinted. Literally zero transactions for several days in a row, on both my main account and a secondary account. While other platforms compensated, this is no longer the case this week.
I typically monitor the sales backlog (= shipped items not yet paid for) and they have fallen to their lowest level of the year.
Impossible to know why, just an observation…
Hello, not a good day for me. I have to say that I took a display case dressing, so that ruined my views.
I’m focusing on the Vinted locker because Vinted disgusts me. I hate them. So when I sell an item on Vinted, I wait for a sale on VCO to give them priority. VCO is reliable. With Vinted, I wake up every morning wondering if my account will still be open in the evening. I’m also trying eBay for my clothes. And Leboncoin, which should soon offer us its reduced-fee weekend. But it’s a hassle to repost on other platforms without clemz.
Come on, we believe in the long weekend ![]()
I feel like I’m back to the situation before I started using Clemz, as if boosting ads and generating views/favorites, which had yielded good results for 6 months, is no longer working.
(Sending messages to favorites with a discount for purchase has never been effective. I tried it extensively though)
It works a bit, but since Vinted is cracking down on automations right now, I don’t dare to use it too much. This automation came about because of them. They’ve become so big that users have become invisible without regular reposts. The snake eating its tail…
I had my best sales day in 3 years yesterday. ![]()
Well done Poggi! Don’t get discouraged, hard work always pays off. Great day for me on Friday. Black hole yesterday (4-day weekend, going on vacation, etc…). But as I said above, and having also gauged the mood in a very large EU shopping center, things are starting to take off. This week should be very good for everyone and kick off the long-awaited start.
Afterwards, it’s like the stock market, what falls rises just as much or even more afterwards. At the bottom is the time to buy, at the top is the time to sell ![]()
Hello!
For my part, I’ve been selling more regularly for 3 weeks, on Vinted as well as on Leboncoin. My turnover had dropped dramatically in March, like many. I tried to fight it in every possible way, but nothing worked. Everything can be explained by: the economic situation, the entry of new countries on Vinted (increased competition, bugs galore, etc.).
With or without requests for favorites, views, no tangible difference observed.
I adjust my prices, I make offers or counter-offers. I also tested « no ads » this year: no showcase listings, no boosts, no advertising on Instagram or Facebook. Ultimately, my turnover is comparable to last year, when I was doing all of that.
I think there has been a global change: everyone experienced a drop in turnover this year, and it’s general (even in construction). Uncertainty about the VAT threshold has also put many off.
I’ve decided to test other ideas starting in January, while continuing to go with the flow, without trying to exhaust myself. I’m tenacious, and hope keeps me going haha!
Well, I’m going to continue my rant. Vinted is tiring me out, just like the subject itself.
On Vestiaire, when we have a problem, we deal with humans and the problems are quickly and very well resolved.
On Vinted, we deal with bots on repeat, and you know the result. And we all complain about it every day here. On Vinted, I feel like I’m in the USSR. I’m constantly afraid. I don’t feel free. Will I be reported? (Apparently, there are reporting bots…) Will my account be closed? Will the algorithm make me visible or not? Etc… There is no stability.
I sold all week without doing anything, I admit. I take a showcase, and everything stops. Really. Maybe it’s the bridge effect. On Tuesday, I might come back writing « wow, it’s crazy! »
But anyway, Vinted is tiring me out. They need a real competitor, a bit like Uber, which allowed taxis to question themselves, improve, and reduce their market share. It’s never good when a behemoth dominates.
I had a lot of interaction… positive messages… so the visibility was there (at least yesterday because this morning it’s quiet…) but I only made 3 small sales yesterday so I don’t know, it’s strange
And I’m facing a problem with the Austrians, a second big order from Austria but they can’t complete the purchase, strange… and these are big orders which is very frustrating
It’s much better compared to last month, but still far from my usual standards for this period.
On the liberal side of my business, I’ve been working in a commercial area for 15 years (so I know quite a few people by now) and I absolutely don’t have that feedback.
Already the store I work with (a large music store) is struggling. And you only have to look at the traffic. Yesterday there were no problems getting around and parking in the parking lots, whereas before Saturday it was hell. There were even spots at Noz and Action, that says it all.
And the hypermarkets have already rolled out 50% offers (loyalty card, gift voucher…) on toys, whereas before it was after Christmas or at worst a few days before. And that’s really not a good sign.
After
I’m no longer trying to understand Vinted ![]()
Otherwise, another sign that doesn’t lie, no problem finding space in lockers, no lost packages, packages that go through the sorting center 20 times, that are returned for no reason, packages that arrive quickly (except for Vinted Go, but they are a separate case) etc … Yet usually this is the « good » period. But even the drop-off points I go to tell me they are not overwhelmed with packages.
Selling has been slow again for a few days, I don’t even try to understand it anymore, but it’s clear it’s affecting my mood and especially my temper, to the point where I can’t even make a sale.
I can barely make a living from it now, I’ll have to get another job on the side and just see Vinted as a bonus.
Not to mention the people who make an offer and don’t even pay one time out of three, knowing that I accept 100% of the time their offer (which is obviously always the lowest they can make), I can’t deal with that anymore either ![]()
I also have the impression that boosting listings via Clems generates fewer views than when I do it manually, I hope I’m wrong because it’s the only feature I use and at €50 per month, given the sales, it’s starting to be a significant expense.
