Context Reminder

On July 21st, Vinted launched an account restriction campaign for accounts they accuse of automatic reposting. Affected wardrobes are restricted for 24 hours, during which they can neither modify nor publish new listings.

The messages received look like this:

Text : Hi, we noticed automated activity on your account, which goes against our Terms and Conditions. This includes rules that prohibit the use of third-party tools, scripts, or other external software when using our site and services.
As a result, we have had to restrict your ability to modify or list new items for 24 hours.
You can find more information on how we handle personal data and your rights in our Privacy Policy (…)

After several days, it seems that even people posting manually are affected..

And me who knows the same problem besides clemz can I be added?

Hello, indeed everyone is affected and not just Clemz users. Vinted bots are erroneously detecting automation usage across the board, even though multiple users are posting their ads manually. This seems very random because even those who use automation are not necessarily affected or restricted.

Continue posting your observations here

I was banned 2 days in a row

I was unbanned but I don’t dare to post again…

Hello, I was banned on two accounts for 24 hours. Once the 24 hours passed, I published with a manual ad, and boom! Instant ban after clicking publish.

I was already blocked on the 21st for 24 hours just after adding items to my favorites, so I could still try to understand.

But this time, I’m only posting a skirt, it’s not even a repost, and my account is immediately blocked again for 24 hours.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share my experience and get your feedback.

My Vinted account was restricted for three consecutive days for automated activity. In their last message, Vinted clearly told me not to use any third-party tools, browser extensions, or external software connected to the account.

Under these conditions, I seriously question the possibility of continuing to use Clemz without risking new restrictions, or even a longer block.

I recently subscribed to an annual Clemz subscription, precisely to benefit from the republication and automation features.

Have other subscribers in the same situation requested or obtained a refund, even pro rata for the remaining period?

I think it would be useful to have collective feedback on this point, especially for those who have paid for an annual subscription and no longer wish to take risks with their Vinted account.

Thanks for your feedback.

Unfortunately no. We need some sort of filter to prevent even Vinted from following our investigations…

Write to us and we will discuss it together. We won’t hold anyone by force

You were lucky.

I’m free from 3 p.m.

I’ve been posting an ad for someone who wants to buy books since yesterday.

I did everything from the app, manually.

I got banned again instantly.

It’s absurd

Thank you Clément for your feedback.

I will write to you directly so that we can discuss together what can be done regarding my annual subscription, especially in light of the successive restrictions and Vinted’s message asking me not to use third-party tools or extensions anymore.

Thank you for opening the dialogue. Marius:sun_with_face::herb:

This is exactly what happened to me today.

I was unblocked, then I simply manually changed the price of a listing directly on Vinted, and I was restricted again almost immediately.

So apparently, even after stopping all automation, some accounts remain very sensitive for a while. It’s really hard to understand.

Clemz is not to blame. Vinted restricts for automated activity, but that’s nonsense. The proof: many users have experienced restrictions while republishing manually, and I myself, on a pro account, republish 100 ads per day with Clemz without any restrictions or warnings (my republishing for today has just finished).

It’s still surprising that they suddenly made a wave of restrictions with this automation motif. Like the wave of bans at the beginning of the year. In my opinion, they updated their bots, which don’t work, as usual.

In short, Vinted being Vinted.

We have not received an email from you… is that normal?
We remain reachable in any case :slightly_smiling_face:

So it would be more of a pressure tactic on individuals then? It’s true that business accounts are very little impacted…

To prove to you that Clemz is not to blame, look at this afternoon on an FB group.

These users are not using bots and yet…
