Have you read or watched the new rules on YouTube or TikTok?
A disaster…
Stricter old rules, okay, but not funny.
But:
Direct ban and money blocked if
Republication
Automation
Use of bots
Non-exclusive Vinted photos!!
Fake brands (but I have real ones and Vinted already blocks me) but what do you do when you no longer have the invoices because it’s vintage from family? You don’t sell, there you go!
Punished if
No reuse of packages (e.g., taking an Amazon envelope and putting the item inside… European law?)
Returns at our expense and no longer at the customer’s!!
All this will start with England, then everywhere…
And people only see one thing: the change of accounts between Luxembourg and Lithuania!
The tree that hides the forest!
We won’t earn much with all these rules, and buyers are reinforced in their demands!
Selling above a certain amount?
It’s taking a huge risk…
So we’ll make sales for 3 euros?
The gas, the time to take double photos and write the descriptions (don’t forget Vinted now requires exclusivity)
The containers that will have to be paid for to comply with PPWR, the returns (oh, the shoes are not the right size, even though all the measurements are there)
Dishonest customers who claim it’s fake…
Well, for me, it’s over!
Hello,
Do you have a source for all this information, please? ![]()
Hello @Miss,
In the same way that @Lucile just did, could you please attach the link(s) where you saw this information?
Thank you
I also read all of this on the websites of UK associations. It seems likely. What do we do? I agree with everything you point out. As it stands, unless there is a change of heart, for me, Vinted is finished. A site for undead scammers and social rejects. Since this summer, I’ve been switching to eBay. 4 good sales in 15 days. Of course, you have to forget fast fashion, random items and be vigilant about authenticity. it’s not a question of condition. if the condition is detailed, everything sells.
I started Opla but it’s not really taking off. They should advertise. Vinted is becoming serious and very demanding when at the base we are individuals selling to individuals!
ebay with all its new features may be up to the task. Opla is just a rider destined to be bought by lbc or Vinted
Vinted is the only platform that refuses AI, ad renewal, etc. One has to wonder why.
It’s online everywhere
1/ Read Vinted
2/ YouTube
3/ TikTok
You will see
It’s live everywhere

Exactly plus everything else, why? The more they sell the better it is for them, but apparently they have ads themselves!!
It would be so great to put a link instead of this answer… Especially since we also see a lot of fantasies…
As a reminder, the 2025 T&Cs already prohibit bots and republication.
The new T&Cs are more vague and generic for the description of sanctions, just to allow Vinted to do as it sees fit; but I don’t see what this will change.
Perhaps one point to note: by signing the T&Cs, we now authorize Vinted to cross-reference data with official registers
I tested their rescued value subsidiary out of curiosity for a few euros.
I was completely ripped off. A child’s jogging suit instead of an adult one in a different color, and a fake Shein top sold as vintage. Returns refused! Yes, really!
So, in summary, all Vinted Go parcels that « disappear » go to Vinted’s resale subsidiary, which rips off buyers. I call that organized crime. Now, Vinted will collect our money in Lithuania
The day there’s bankruptcy, resale, or the manager flees, we say goodbye to our money.
Look up sadvintedfaces on the internet. There are others, but that’s the one that comes to mind. Obviously, Vinted doesn’t publish its future Terms and Conditions in advance to avoid an outcry. Things are already very tense for them in the UK. The leaks are to alert us. A report is reportedly being prepared by the BBC. The fact remains that Vinted is the only platform to refuse AI to customers and to renew listings, and not to have customer service (eBay is a pleasure, Vestiaire is okay). As for entrusting my money to them in Lithuania…
Thank you for your support, I have an Ebay account, but they have also changed some things there. I don’t want to take charge of returns, I can’t find where I need to put this option…
private or professional? there’s a special ebay thread on the forum. We’re a few enthusiasts
when sellers are refused the ability to go faster to create their listings and republications are refused (while potentially offering this service like on LBC, eBay, etc.), it’s counterproductive. It’s okay for people with a few listings. But those with significant wardrobes (while remaining with individuals who are not commercial sellers) get discouraged because their items stagnate. If anyone has a marketing explanation, I’m curious.
from Vinted… quite simply…
Particularity at the start on Ebay
So yes, thank you.. but I would have really appreciated a source for what you are claiming.
On the forum, we wish to maintain a space that is on the one hand welcoming, but also with reliable and verifiable information.
As Faune rightly says, there is a lot of fake news and fantasy.
So I repeat my request: please where exactly did you read this information?
Thanks in advance ![]()
I’ve already answered, I’m not going to download here all the pages that are on the emails or in the Vinted terms of use. I think anyone interested can do it.
