Since the beginning of the week, my purchases have been restricted by the scarcity of suggested carriers and the limited number of drop-off points suggested by Vinted.
A week ago, while the Bpost strike had been going on for weeks, I had the choice between all possible carriers as well as all the drop-off points near me or not far. Now, well after the aforementioned strike ended, I would almost have to cross a part of the city to pick up a package, even though I see new lockers being installed in several places very close to my home (in addition to the existing ones).
Are other people in Brussels (East side) facing this same issue?
I’ve noticed the same thing for the past few days. I’m being offered far fewer drop-off points than before, even though there are several lockers and drop-off points nearby. I suspect Vinted is temporarily limiting certain drop-off points when they are saturated or when carriers reduce their collection capacity.
For me, some drop-off points reappear a few hours later or the next day, so it seems to be more of a real-time availability issue than a permanent removal. Perhaps Vinted also prioritizes certain drop-off points to distribute the package flow.
You are therefore probably not an isolated case. It would be interesting to see if other people in the Brussels region have noticed the same thing in recent days.
Thank you for your feedback. It would be amazing if this reflected the real-time availability of pickup points and lockers. It seems more likely that the system had blocked my entire town, despite having numerous pickup points and lockers, to channel all deliveries to points in neighboring towns. This is very striking when visualizing the map of proposed pickup points at the time of choosing one for a purchase. Nothing left in my town – now a desert – but a large number in neighboring towns…
After several unsuccessful attempts each day this week at different times, and having consequently missed out on several items, I was able to purchase one today. The seller had agreed to reserve it for me since last weekend…
