Has anyone won a Vinted case where the shipping company mixed up packages? Is it worth opening a claim?

I’m dealing with a situation where I believe the shipping company mixed up two packages (not seller fraud).

The package has two shipping labels:

  • A temporary shipping label underneath.
  • The final shipping label on top.

When the top label is peeled back, the temporary label underneath has different information, which seems to show that the package was relabeled incorrectly.

The seller doesn’t appear to be a scammer, so I don’t think this was intentional. It looks like a shipping company mistake.

My questions are:

  • Has anyone had a similar case?
  • Is it worth opening a Shipping problems → Package arrived incorrectly claim with Vinted?
  • What evidence did Vinted ask you to provide?
  • Did you win the case?
  • Is there any risk that opening this type of claim could result in my account being suspended or banned if Vinted doesn’t believe me, even though I’m reporting the issue honestly?

I’d really appreciate hearing about anyone’s experience before I decide whether to open the claim.

Hello, depending on the value of the package, it might be worth fighting for: claim with Vinted + claim with the carrier + report to consumer protection agency + mediator of the republic. If theft or fraud, file a complaint with the gendarmerie or police (only in these two cases).
