Severe loss of visibility

Hello everyone,

Are you also experiencing a loss of visibility on Vinted? I feel like my listings are no longer getting views etc… before I used to post and sell quickly, but now it’s stagnating a lot

thanks for your feedback

I recently turned pro and I’m making a lot of favorites but no sales. I think the price of gas and the economic situation aren’t helping at the end of this month.

Very little visibility as well, the only favorites I have come from foreign countries, when you know the shipping costs they have, it makes for very, very few sales.

Same here, for over a week now…

I’m a pro so I already felt « limited » compared to individuals, but it’s just a disaster these last few days!

Same for me, I feel like I have fewer views and even fewer sales. I’m also wondering if the economic situation, as well as the holidays, are partly responsible… but it’s frustrating to have no control, especially if the algorithm also has something to do with it…

It’s been like this since March/April last year for pro sellers… But I feel like it’s even worse these past few weeks. I think there are too many of us on the platform… So we’re drowned in the crowd :expressionless_face: Yet I have almost 5000 followers and well… I get 20 views on new listings, it’s desperate  It’s clearly not normal

I notice the exact same thing! But I wonder, can a temporary ban harm visibility??? Because I had a restriction (I have the impression that Vinted really bans left and right, it’s really annoying) and since then I feel like I’m struggling…

Yes, definitely, I think temporary restrictions/bans can impact visibility behind it. Impossible to know exactly how the Vinted algorithm works, but since my deletions/restrictions, I’ve also seen a huge difference in views

Before, my listings sold quickly, now some are stagnating even though I have quite a few followers. I feel like listings are pushed less in searches or in follower notifications after certain reports/bans.

And given the number of sellers saying the same thing right now, I think there’s definitely a connection :man_shrugging:

On my end, I’ve seen record transactions over the last 7 days. On par with Christmas. I know the downturn is coming

yes, me too, it disconnected at exactly the same time. And when I see the difference with my personal account (where I don’t even make too much effort with photos and descriptions), there is clearly a problem with the pro accounts.

It’s not just for Pros… also noticed on a personal account.
Obviously, there’s a drop in traffic in France.
Personally, I notice there are more items favorited by foreigners than French people. (especially Germans and Dutch)
Anyway, from my perspective…

After all, one can’t really say that the French are experiencing a period of great prosperity.

My stats show a slight increase in export sales. They were 25%, now they are 30%. It’s not exactly a revolution, though.

It’s terrible because it really encourages creating a new account, even though the goal is to be stable and not constantly worry about the fact that sometimes you can get restricted for somewhat unbelievable reasons, and I feel like the appeals are useless…

I also have the impression that the proportion of foreign sales is higher than before.

Yes, precisely because it’s handled by algorithms.
We miss the days when it was so easy to contact customer service, (well, on other platforms) to reach someone on the phone and discuss with a human. This person had feelings… sometimes a heart
Now, the bot decides to restrict or ban you without explanation and especially without any real valid reasons… We see this more and more, unfortunately.

After…
The drop in visibility is certainly linked to a possible account restriction…
Coincidentally, you get a good average of views… You have a good average of sales… and as soon as your account is unblocked… that’s no longer the case at all…
Thanks, Algo

Hello :slightly_smiling_face:

We must not forget that Vinted was initially a site for individuals; the arrival of all the professionals migrating from platforms like Etsy, eBay, etc., has made navigation much less pleasant and user-friendly. Indeed, the sheer volume means listings get lost. This isn’t a personal attack, as Vinted opened its doors to professionals, it’s just an observation… :slightly_smiling_face:

it’s pretty much the case for all platforms at their origin

I just looked at it with the Clemz dashboard, I was at 60% of France sales over the last 12 months, and I dropped to 48% last month. Especially since, despite a week of lockdown, the month wasn’t that bad to my surprise (not amazing, but I’ve had worse).

Indeed I feel a big drop in views too because even though I have been using Cleanz for almost 2 weeks, I used to sell at least 1 item per day before.
