I am writing to share my problem of the day because everything seems to be quite normal today based on the reports…
At the end of the month, I get almost 10 sales per day, but today I have no sales despite having many favorites and views. My closet, which is marked as (up to date), is stuck at 10k appearances, which is ridiculously low considering I did 2 re-publications today (morning and afternoon) and have accumulated many views and favorites.
So I don’t know what’s happening today? Are other people in my situation?
I’ve also had a severe drop in sales for a few days. But it’s cyclical, I’m used to it. And it turns out that lately business has picked up again on Leboncoin. In September, for the first time since March, my revenue on Leboncoin was higher than on Vinted.
For cultural products, LBC is mostly about deliveries, with shipping fees of €0.99 a few times a year. But, it’s true, it’s also the only channel where people come in person to pick up merchandise. Less and less, however (my stats show -50% compared to 2024). This used to happen on Vinted 2-3 years ago, but the platform has progressively made it impossible to know that the seller is near you.
Hello, on my end it’s been working very well since the beginning of October. Basically, compared to the end of September, my daily revenue has doubled.
I had this happen some time ago but I had few favorites, like 2 instead of the usual 20-30 (I’m not a pro).
I requested the paper on my account (in the settings) and since then it has improved a lot, I’m making more sales than before. I think I was ghosted for no reason and they realized it.
And here we go again, I haven’t sold anything for several days now, whereas I used to make 10 sales a day lol, and favorites are down by at least 5.
I’m going to end up snapping and giving up (pro)
Selling since June, -50% roughly
Some will explain that it’s not the right products etc … yet there’s no decrease (or even an increase) on other platforms and competitors sell them (not necessarily better positioned than me). And especially reopening a personal account, not many listings for now (I’m taking it easy) and some listings sell immediately while they were stagnant on my professional account for months.
I was explained here by A + B that it was up to me to adapt, that I was doing things wrong, that I had to evolve to find a good turnover.
I did absolutely nothing and two months ago it started again like in the good old days until a few days ago.
I’m sure Vinted makes you more or less visible depending on what, I don’t know yet, maybe reports or selling too much in a given period?
Anyway, when I go from 200 favorites per day to less than 50 for several days, I understand that I’m going to struggle until it suddenly comes back, but the last time it was long, 2 months with a turnover divided by 5.
yes, same here, I had a rebound at the end of July/beginning of August that made me think it was starting again, but it didn’t last.
There will always be someone to explain that you are the problem or who won’t believe in these visibility issues … until it happens to them too. I was also skeptical when some pros started raising this issue this winter and it happened to me …
Besides, yesterday a friend who sells a lot privately told me that he’s also had a cycle problem for a month. For several days, he has no more views, favorites, offers, and of course, no sales.
Exactly the same on my end! It’s reassuring to know I’m not the only one, even if it doesn’t change the core of the problem… Since mid-August, it had picked up again at full speed, like before, and now, for a few days, I’m invisible again. It’s annoying! The worst part is feeling powerless… There’s nothing we can do but wait for it to pass
Besides, the fact that it’s happening to all of us at the same time (it started for me on Saturday or Sunday, I think) is proof that there’s a problem or a deliberate restriction on Vinted’s part…
Same Saturday or Sunday, favorites divided by 4, no more questions or offers.
The worst part is that it started when I paid for the showcase dressing this weekend lol, which I hadn’t done for months because there was no difference with or without it, but I wanted to try again.
And my ads are still showing up well in the recent search, I always check since I was ghosted (back then the ads were untraceable though).
Yes, I don’t even know if I should try to understand it, but it’s unfortunate to think that you can do very well for a while and then not at all afterwards (without it being the logic and the vagaries of sales, obviously).
Especially since I sell clothes, I have no alternative other than Vinted.
I’m hesitating to create a personal account and post my listings twice, changing the photos, but that’s a sure way to get banned, I imagine, so I don’t know. Especially since I’ve already read that they block accounts that have both a personal and a professional one (even though it’s allowed in their terms and conditions).
Me, I have both (professional and personal) and I’ve never had a problem! But it’s true that I don’t put my professional ads on my personal one, maybe then they could detect and block it, I have too much to lose so I prefer not to take the risk! Or else I’d have to redo the photos but… too lazy…
No such phenomenon on my end. Every day, I always ship the same number of packages, +/- 2. There are variations depending on the platforms, but overall it’s stable.
September was excellent, driven by the sale of a few titles over €100.
No, I am not a professional. I ended up receiving a notification from Vinted inviting me to consider going pro. Since then, I have only been adding listings to another account. I definitely won’t go pro until I’m nearing €25-30k/year.
It was mainly for the visibility issue, it seemed to me that you were not a professional account. So yes, apparently it’s normal that you are not affected, the problem is mainly with pro accounts (even if some individuals are also starting to report oddities).
I don’t know if you’ve seen on the pro sellers support group on Facebook the number of people who are in the same situation as us for several days, it’s unbelievable! Something is clearly happening. But what? I’m almost wondering if it’s really worth putting new items online given my visibility… I don’t want to tire myself out for nothing like in the spring/summer…
