Just a small message to let you know my dissatisfaction. Many sellers don’t take the time to properly describe their items, and as a result, when it’s an inexpensive item, few sellers answer my questions. For example, a skirt described as long or ankle-length – I want to tell you that depends on your height. Measurements are more precise. If you don’t want to be bothered with questions, then be precise in your description, and everyone will be happy. Thank you ![]()
The importance of taking measurements in photos is very real, however, I sometimes get questions about sizes even though everything is in the photos… ![]()
Glad I don’t sell clothes, I’d go crazy ![]()
Ok, for a particular item (expensive for example, luxury etc…) I can understand but then the requirements I see on things sold off cheap for 1 or 2 bucks (I’m talking in general, not about what’s mentioned here, I know nothing about it) are beyond me. I really understand sellers who don’t want to bother with that for clothes sold off cheap.
When I buy « common » items, I go with the size and if it doesn’t fit, I either resell it or give it to Emmaüs and too bad, it’s not a big deal if I lose a few euros. I look at the whole picture and in the end I always come out on top, too bad if I « lose » once in a while.
Hello - I don’t understand. I like to have a minimum of details about the fabric composition, for example. If I like natural materials, I don’t like to receive an item made of acrylic. Items with a vaguely mentioned size - a size M or L means nothing. Is it a French or European size?? Sizes also differ depending on the brand.
And the mention: fits well… I love it. Fits well on whom? On someone who is 1.50m or 1.75m tall?
In the end, even if it’s not expensive, when you add the shipping costs, you end up with a lot of items cluttering up your space.
I think those who are too lazy to give a minimum of details should not bother selling but could directly take them to a recycling center.
This confirms my first sentence, I would go crazy if I sold clothes ![]()
Yes, me too, although sometimes I risk it to clear out the cupboards a bit, but I tend to give too much information.![]()
This is why there is the option to send a message
after that, you can also search by item for a while now
Personally, I note down all the info you state. I take measurements when the clothing doesn’t have a tag, and it’s bigger than what I usually wear (or too small). Otherwise, I take measurements on demand.
Size M corresponds to a 38 and size L to a 40
After all, yes, it varies depending on the brands anyway.
Then, even if we indicate what size we are and it fits us well, all bodies are different.
Let’s remember that Vinted is basically a bit like a flea market, but online.
Demanding professional seller skills from those who aren’t, yes, that’s a lot. In my case, I’m not a pro but I’m very involved in writing my listings because I like it, it’s in my personality to constantly improve etc. But that’s far from being the case for everyone. Not to mention that I understand those who don’t want to bother because many buyers don’t bother to read the description, or even look at all the photos. 99% of the disputes I’ve received are from buyers who didn’t look at what they were buying and complained about it ![]()
What makes me « smile » is that people want descriptions that make Amazon look like amateurs, but when they see « No Vinted Go shipping » on the second line of the listing, strangely they didn’t have time to read the description
