I tested with 2 ads by putting the beginning of your titles, I see it without any problem ^^
From my end, youâre selling without any issues.
I see that youâre really selling clothes, and with the sales, it seems normal for things to crash in that niche. Personally, at noon, I bought new shoes for âŹ20 instead of âŹ130, so itâs hard to look at second-hand on Vinted right now.
Just searching for prices for my new listings is a pain. The other day it annoyed me so much that I took the prices from eBay, took 20% off, and then rounded them.
However, there are comparison sites for video games - but you must know them. A simple and quick way to position yourself.
Gaming is really occasional for me, Iâm mostly into toys/figurines and I donât think comparison sites include Vinted, which changes things quite a bit ![]()
But itâs more complicated for figurines, there are really models with very few listings (or none at all), sometimes they are very expensive but have been online for months. This gives a price at which they donât sell but not necessarily the « right » price.
For toys, the difficulty is that thereâs everything on Vinted. There are those who list items as New with tags when the toy is open (while making sure to put a picture of only the box first, to make people believe itâs actually new) or incomplete (many remove the figurines from licensed items like Lego Marvel/Star Wars for example) and conversely, all those who list items as good condition so as not to get striked. Plus the search engine that absolutely insists on showing us hundreds of listings, itâs hell.
Yes, republication is powerful, I use it every day, without it I think it would be difficult to make a living.
Iâm not sure itâs specifically related to keywords, I searched for one of my ads, nothing matched the search results and no keywords in the ad, just like the title ![]()
So I searched again using the title because I was only searching with filters, marking the bare minimum, and the same result, nothing. I hadnât asked myself the question, but is it because Iâm subscribed to my account that I canât find my ads? If thatâs not it, then itâs a mystery ![]()
Yes, itâs certain that itâs collapsing, especially in clothing. I saw the impact from the first days of the sales with revenue halved, but despite that, I was selling at least 1 or 2 items per day with views and favorites, but itâs been even worse for the past 2 days. But anyway, youâve confirmed that Iâm very visible, which is reassuring. However, I notice that I have periods of a few hours without favorites and then suddenly 3 or 4 favorites in an hour. I assume itâs another Vinted bug. Perhaps the problem also lies with views and favorites not appearing ![]()
What I would do in your place, at least thatâs what I do, is use Google Lens, look at the prices, compare them with the prices on Vinted, make yourself a little table like « this type of toy sells for half the price compared to sites like eBay, Etsy », that way you know roughly how much youâre reducing your prices compared to sites like eBay. I do this when I have vintage items to post.
So afterwards, as you also noticed, there are big bugs in the searches anyway ![]()
The problem with eBay is that there are no longer enough sales to really consider their prices. Sometimes there are things I wonder how they can sell, and indeed no successful sales are recorded (thatâs really an option thatâs missing on Vinted).
I find that on eBay everything sells and unlike Vinted, listings are reposted every month. Sometimes I sell something 2 years after posting it. I find it takes longer to sell, but everything sells (I sell antique/vintage items).
Hello, If it can reassure some, for me too itâs very quiet, even dead, and has been for about fifteen days. It was okay at the beginning of January, but around the 15th, almost no more views, favorites and sales in free fall. By searching my items a little, I realize that I appear, but far, even very far in the feed, unless I sort by « most recent ». Go figure!?! Same on my personal account by the way, both accounts are quiet. A little less the personal one maybe, but not much better. I actually find that the search function has been « messy » lately, maybe thatâs the reason, or more simply January, which is still a very bad month for commerce in general, apart from sales. Weâll see, I hope for a quick recoveryâŠ
Hello,
Itâs exactly the same for me, itâs catastrophic. Iâm not a professional, but I still have some hope for my sales!
Calm plateau here too, I convinced myself it was a shadowban but no, itâs just the sales period that hurts a lot, frustrating to be without favorites for hours when usually itâs dozens per hour, I am very surprised by the impact of the sales.
Looking forward to February, letâs hope it gets better
itâs almost automatic, especially if you are in categories heavily affected by sales. For example, in January and July, I hardly sell any video games anymore, and in January, itâs « traditional » toys (like Playmobil).
Not only can people get new items at the price of used ones. Iâll use my example where I bought new shoes for âŹ20 instead of âŹ130, so no shipping costs, I could try them on in the store, etc⊠so thereâs no point for me in looking for shoes on Vinted. But also to consider, the number of listings explodes with everyone who buys during sales to resell, so thereâs a lot of competition. Especially since individuals are selling at a loss just to get rid of items quickly.
