How to open a new Vinted account after a ban?

Hello everyone,

I’ve been a professional seller on Vinted for two years, and overall, things are going well. I’ve had a few restrictions, but I’ve been pretty spared by Vinted… except with my personal account.

Indeed, after refusing an offer from a Vintie for a pair of Comme des Garçons Converse, my personal account was blocked for suspected counterfeiting.

I will of course appeal. However, if I can’t get my account unblocked, is it still possible to create a new Vinted account with a new phone, a new phone number, and a new IBAN?

Before buying a new phone, I’d like to be sure it works. I’ve read on several Facebook groups that some people get banned almost instantly, sometimes as soon as they add the first item to their newly created account.

If any of you have been in this situation before, I’d be interested in your feedback. Thanks in advance!

thanks in advance!

New phone OK

New number OK

New email OK

New IBAN OK

Internet WIFI: using the same one as a bank account… could cause problems (it would depend on the provider; if a fixed IP address like Free for example… then we would need the experience of other people to confirm this information or not)

Hello,

To create a new account without the risk of a ban, there are several important steps.

  • New email address
  • New number and especially 4G/5G network (avoid Lebara, Lycamobile… networks which are often used by bots. Vinted doesn’t like these networks)
  • New IBAN
  • New phone
  • New Google account on the new phone

You must never connect the new account to Wi-Fi or share a connection with a connection that Vinted already knows!

Each account needs a different photo background.

You should avoid taking photos of items with one phone and sending them to another phone; Vinted can take into account the metadata of the photos.

And above all, you need to warm up the new account, add items to favorites, buy 2 or 3 items, browse Vinted, without posting anything. Start posting after several days, or even a week. Start by posting items without brands, or low-end brands, make one or two sales before starting to post branded items.

You must do everything to make Vinted think you are a new user who is slowly discovering the platform.

I didn’t know that detail… so if I take photos on the same floorboards (like many French people) from my blocked account and with the phone with which I was banned, and I send these photos to the new phone, they can ban me? It’s getting worse and worse… I’ve been without activity for 7 months…

Thanks for your replies, however I find it so illogical to have to warm up a new account at the risk of being banned after its creation.. I imagine that many new users have the reflex to post items quite quickly, which remains the basic utility of Vinted to be able to sell their things… I really don’t understand Vinted’s logic, they make a lot of money for sure but they could make even more without all the useless constraints that penalize everyone :frowning:

No, the utility is also to buy… There are not only « Sellers », and fortunately, otherwise nobody would sell or very few people would.

thank you very much for this list, some people also say you need to connect to another wifi, but that’s impossible to do! what’s your opinion?

Share your connection with your phone’s mobile network. Each time you switch between accounts, put your phone in airplane mode for 20 seconds (this allows the connection IP address to change). You need a « clean » mobile network (Free, Bouygues, Orange, SFR…) not Lebara, Lycamobile…

The best thing really is to have a proxy, I have 10 backup accounts in case my pro and personal ones get banned, for $10/month you can have quite a few accounts because buying a new phone for one account is exhausting… After, we’ll see if it’s still useful to do multi-accounting with Vinted Pay which arrives tomorrow
