Hello, I’ve been on Vinted for 2-3 years and have been a professional seller since August. I currently have 2833 listings. I post 10-20 listings per day, and there are ups and downs in sales and views, but that’s generally the case when I read the forums. I use the showcase wardrobe for information.
My question is, my family, friends, or followers are following me and asking me why I haven’t posted in a few days. I didn’t understand at first because I post every day.
I compared my family’s phones:
I have 2833 listings, my son sees 2493 listings (no listings for 3 weeks), my sister sees 2544, some followers can see all 2833 of my listings and others can’t.
I contacted Vinted, but apart from an automated response, I haven’t had a positive reply.
I can’t find an answer on the forum or elsewhere.
Thanks in advance,
Fred
Hi, unfortunately I see that you also have bugs. I don’t have the same bugs as you, but indeed on various forums I see similar problems. They told me to check my emails and spam to see if I had any restrictions or blocks, which I don’t. They then told me to uninstall and reinstall the application. At the time they replied, I received some favorites, and a few hours later, nothing more. And again today, Monday, nothing more.
Hello - I think my items or my shop window are not visible at all times. I have 700 items and for 10 days no sales and very few favorites. For example, I have 3 listings that have received no visits in 1 week, and then all of a sudden yesterday morning 5 sales and favorites and offers (accepted but rarely successful). It’s as if my shop was suddenly visible again.
As I am an individual and I never buy any promotion, I must be relegated to the back of the queue. But that doesn’t bother me. I do this for fun.
Hi Fred, so I’ve already explained at least 10 times how Vinted works. It’s the cornerstone of their operation. You find it at all levels, from the search engine, to favorites, to hashtags, and so on.
It’s not a bug, it’s intentional. It’s called « random reward. » To put it simply: to make people addicted in the true sense of the word, to create movement, the expected result must not be the expected result. This is the principle behind many things, social networks, slot machines, scrolling. Vinted pushes the envelope.
To sell well, in my opinion, it is imperative to know how the sales tool works, and to train and learn, always. It’s the best investment you can make.
Especially with psychology books on cognition and intuition. And I always continue to deepen my knowledge. Currently: Kahneman: system 1 and system 2. For €10 you have access to a goldmine of information.
Otherwise, a Dunod, cognitive psychology, social psychology category too.
Have a good day.
