Hello - You should know that partner stores are set to disappear. In my area, there are no more of them, replaced by lockers which are quite practical. Some are located outside shops with access at all hours. Yes, there can be issues, but they are often due to user error. I had an example of a locker that already had a package inside. I called the given number and was pleasantly surprised to immediately reach someone who guided me through what to do. They explained that sometimes a user takes their package and doesnât close the door, and someone else arrives, sees an open door, and puts their package directly inside without scanning it. I donât know if this is true, but itâs the explanation given. I am quite satisfied with MR. Very few problems, and an occasional issue doesnât make them a bad carrier. I have already sent hundreds of packages and have had very few problems.
The real issue is that if the locker is full when you open it to deposit a package, thereâs already one inside (you called the number, but we know 80% of people would have taken the package to put theirs in) and itâs the same for the number of spaces in a locker, itâs not unlimited when you make about ten sales each day, the locker quickly becomes limitedâŠ
Itâs certain that Mondial Relay partner businesses are doomed to disappear, but as long as there are some, Iâll continue with them, and well, Iâm in Corsica, it wonât disappear anytime soon here.
when possible, it is still better to favor relay points. Since the package is received and scanned by a human, if it disappears it can only be their fault.
It should be added that Mondial Relay changed its pricing structure this summer and that sending to a locker now costs less than sending to a relay point when you go through them on their site. For the moment, this has not been reflected on the platforms, but it is not certain that this will last. So they are clearly in a strategy of focusing on lockers. Another element of their strategy is that they are developing home deliveries, which are cheaper than Colissimo. In short, there are likely to be changes with MR.
But at the same time, itâs not a big deal; others like Shop2Shop or Relais Colis will be able to pick up relay points.
I have curiously less confidence in the pickup points where I hand over packages to a person. Iâve seen them handle packages, and generally, itâs without any care. Obviously, packages are also bumped and jostled by carriers and logistics platforms, but by dropping them off at a locker and hoping they arrive at a locker, well, that means fewer pairs of hands are playing with them, both at the start and at the end.
And then, the lockers are filmed, which can be useful to prove your good faith.
Yesterday, I had an argument with the guy at the Relais Colis pickup point, who absolutely wanted an « ID » and refused to enter the package number or my name, which I was showing on the app. At least with a locker, I donât have to go through an identity check, and I donât feel like I have someone acting like the police in front of me.
Having witnessed a few locker empties by delivery drivers, itâs not done with total finesse either. But itâs true that Iâve seen some pickup points that didnât inspire confidence (Iâm thinking in particular of one that threw the package by spinning it in the air before throwing it in the bag)
But hey, I have my favorite pickup points where things go well and it still has some advantages. For example, the other day with a large order, when I got home I realized I had made a mistake. So in the morning when they opened, I was able to retrieve my package, open it and swap the items. Besides, I know the garage manager well, Iâve been going there several times a week for years, during the Christmas period I empty a carload of packages for him per day, he knows I wonât rip him off.
Update 09/25
Account finally recovered and unlocked, what a relief!
To those who experience
Good news! And good luck with the pickup points, for my part I have more issues with the quality of my suppliersâ products than delivery problems ![]()
Happy for you!
You can also indicate in your ads that you no longer wish to use Vintedgo, I see quite a few ads in this direction.
I had tried but people still buy, so afterwards it requires a lot of energy to explain, cancel sales, redo the ads ⊠in short, I gave up
Hello, I specify: no Vinted Go. If the buyer takes Vinted Go anyway. I cancel the sale with the reason: I do not have this shipping option. There is a « relist » button.
To revisit comments from a few weeks ago: yes, there was an issue with Vinted Go in early October. I had a series of sales, around the same day, where the packages were lost. Perhaps the truck passing through my neighborhood caught fireâŠ
Hello, I am truly saddened for you and deeply angry because you have gone to great lengths to send them correctly and they have not been received. Where have all your packages gone? Completely ban them. Is it the delivery driver who is pocketing them or the warehouse?? Itâs crazy. I am truly sad for you, sincerely. Be fully compensated.
Nothing to be sad about! Vinted still pays me. They have insurance, which pays them more than the price they pay me.
Hello, I sent a Vinted Go package that has been waiting at the sorting center for several days. The package was sent on November 20th and still hasnât arrived at the locker requested by the buyer. Vinted is asking me to wait until December 25th for the buyer to be able to react. It left IsĂšre and just arrived in the Paris region today. This happens more often than you think. Too many packages are lost.
The good news, at least based on my experience, is that I have always been reimbursed by Vinted for the amount of the item. I admit that it was also under 20 euros.
I had the same problem, we were both refunded!
Hello,
Yes indeed in that case, Vinted Go is quite fair, I agree.
There are other times when⊠Vinted Go does not apply these T&Cs, but not in this specific case ![]()
