Hello everyone, I guess I’m not the only one in this situation, so I’m taking the liberty of creating this post.
Shipping with Vinted Go is hell, because of the format of my packages I can only send to an M locker and needless to say, they are rare.
I have packages waiting for several days until a spot in a locker finally becomes available.
The drop-off point that is not a locker closest to my home is 45 minutes away, so let’s just say that’s not an option.
Do you have a solution to disable this shipping method?
By entering a small town where there is no drop-off point for example, I am trying to find a solution because honestly it’s a real struggle.
Hello, unchecking impossible… Put on your profile and in ads that you refuse Vinted Go and if transaction, redo with another carrier
Besides, no more price difference with Mondial Relay…
Hello,
it is impossible to disable vinted go, but one solution, which doesn’t work too well in my opinion, is to just say in your bio that you do not accept shipments via vinted go.
As others have already said, unfortunately, you just need to inform buyers that you do not accept Vinted Go shipments. Even if it means canceling sales (I don’t know if there are automatic negative reviews in this scenario).
For my part, I have a locker near my home, but it doesn’t accept large packages. So I am forced to drive 20 minutes to another one when it’s a large format.
And I agree with you regarding full lockers, for packages waiting for a spot. It can take a month, depending on the number of packages waiting. Hence the fact that Vinted has set a deadline of 25 days before making a claim.
Quick feedback on my experience with Vinted go as a seller:
The package to Toulouse arrived well, without any problems.
For the package going to Belgium: surprised that it suddenly switched from Vinted go to Homerr.
A small downside I find with their label is that there’s no information, just a QR code. You have no idea where the package is going, so whether it’s a good or bad idea, I couldn’t really say.
I agree with the QR code without additional information. When I have several Vinted Go packages to send, I have to take the time to print and stick each one individually - and not print them all and then stick them as I do for other delivery services. Otherwise, it’s a disaster with swapped labels.
Hello, two shipments were made via Vinted Go. The first never arrived, which earned me a bad rating from the buyer. The other just arrived in Marseille instead of Cambrai. So it’s not a good start. I will try to indicate with each sale that I no longer want shipments via Vinted Go.
The buyer could have shown some leniency and not given you a bad rating when it’s the delivery service (which she chose herself, by the way) that didn’t do its job. You are not responsible for Vinted Go damages.
Same for the second package. How can you send a package to the South when it’s supposed to go to the North XD
It is indeed better to mention it in your profile AND in each of your listings. In the event that people choose Vinted Go because they don’t read the description, cancel the sale stating the reason. You have no other solutions.
Good idea, and also (sorry for replying to you yesterday and not to Nathalie or the original person of the topic)
Just, if the person gave you a bad review about the delivery, just reply by saying « I left the package as agreed, once left, it is no longer my responsibility, but that of the Vinted Go (or other) carrier ».
Good evening
A disaster, this Vinted Go transport service. First, you have to find an available locker, which is quite difficult for M-sized packages.
For a large package, I have to go 20 minutes from my home to drop it off at a shop.
Then you have to wait at least 15 days for the package to reach the buyer, when everything goes well.
I currently have two packages that I dropped off
More than 25 days ago and they are stuck at the sorting center.
This is a problem for the buyer and the seller, but Vinted does not want to take it into account by making this mode of transport mandatory.
Too bad
Personally, I haven’t had any problems with Vinted Go yet… maybe because I don’t drop it off at a locker?
It’s slow, it travels… but it arrives.
I read earlier that a package was in Cambrai instead of Marseille? Maybe it hasn’t finished its world tour yet… I was once amazed seeing the route… I sent a package (I hadn’t seen that the person lived in Marseille… which is 40 minutes from my place)… so it left my place to go to Marseille (it could have stopped there) but no, it then went to Montpellier before going to Lyon to return to Marseille delivery point I could have thought it was exceptional? But no! Because the buyer didn’t pick it up and the package took exactly the same route for the return… and again
And after that, they talk to us about the environment
Re, the bad experiences are starting for me:
I’ll be brief: someone buys, and says not to drop it off until Tuesday (because they’re traveling)
Tuesday: the locker is full, I contact Vinted Go to find out if they pick up every day or not
Wednesday: I try again, still full (just a locker that’s too small), and the pickup point nearby that I discovered is closed on Wednesdays, but poorly indicated on their site, they only list the days and opening hours, but at a quick glance, you might think « cool, open every day » but no
Personally, I find Vinted Go to be the worst delivery service there is. They even asked me to leave a review on Trustpilot…
I told them that prioritizing quantity over quality wasn’t a good strategy. That they should install larger lockers and monitor delivery times and the care taken in transporting packages a bit better.
Recently, I had a locker that was empty; the package finally arrived the next day, visibly and deliberately crushed. And packages with crazy delays, going back and forth between lockers and sorting centers…
As I’ve already said here, for 2024 I have a rate of 15% of problematic packages with Vinted Go (lost, damaged, returned for no reason, or taking more than 15 days to arrive) compared to less than 1% for other services, only one issue with Collissimo and one with Relais Colis. And I have close to 2000 shipments made last year (including 3/4 since September).
Hello, I have a fairly positive opinion of Vinted Go. I’m lucky to have 3 lockers within 5 minutes, the advantage of being in a big city.
The labels are cheap but the price is too, you always have to correlate the price and the service. (some customers should understand this )
The lockers are cheap, often compartments that no longer close. A lack of large compartments, limiting for ski wear or leather.
A positive point is the scan quality, better than Mondial Relay.
Personally, I don’t have any particular problems with Vinted Go. Making it mandatory isn’t great but it’s understandable, it’s their platform, and they probably make a little profit from it, or they will soon, the price is really not expensive.
Shipping costs have really decreased compared to 5 or 10 years ago.
don’t you have a relay point not far from the locker? well, it also needs to pass at the destination.
do you send large packages on Vinted? when I do that, Vinted Go is never used.
